I will take quality photos with my camera for everyone to see the difference. first noticeable difference is the finish. its not charcoal, its black..

Looked at the TSE pics in their sub-forum but I'd like to see the differences between Gens .

Those forged lowers/uppers look nice, heck, they're black too! Is the Griffin logo raised? Are you going to run it with stock trigger before swapping it out for your Geissele again?

yes the logo is raised, looks cool, I'm just going to keep the trigger in there, maybe put the Geissele in the norc lower and swap it with the short uppers and see what happens.

not yet, just picked it up today. I will test fire it this upcoming Sunday. 2-3 hundred rounds

That looks a lot like the 10.5 I bought around xmas time. Finish is good, function is good - any issues with fte/ftf have been ammo related. Only thing I found was the safety was very tight or hard to move. Cut a couple of coils off the detente spring and it's like buttah now. I just installed a Geissele S3G in it yesterday and will be trying it our on Sunday.

Alright second day on the range. Another 250 rounds. What a disaster. It wouldn't extract the fired round and tried to feed another round in there so the fired casing got stuck between the gas key and the charging handle.
Also it wouldn't stay open on the last round on any of the mags. Brought it home inspected the bolt and everything else. The bolt lugs that grab onto the bolt stop are worn out and scratched. The finish on the lower is actually paint. The paint around the magwll is chipping off. Unhappy unhappy unhappy. Ill be replacing the BCG with a good brand BCG and some other upgrades.

I thought I read they were CeraKote'ing their guns now. Subconsciously I assumed they were Cerakote'ing them over the anodizing........should have known better.......
I gather it's cheaper to Cerakote the lowers than it is to anodize them. Now you know why it's black......
Bizarre because the building right next door to NEA does the anodizing for a very well known/respected manufacturer........

That bolt does not look good. Doesn't look hardened at all.....
