NEA Remington 870 14" Barrel

What boggles my mind is how more people don't want 16 inch barrels, they're the shortest length you can get with a folding stock and still be non-restricted. You could even go higher than 4 rounds if you extend the tube out a bit, probably 6 total. Having this done custom is going to run me $325.00, and I'm like screwit I can't wait anymore because everyone is putting out these 12 and 14 inch barrels that are only good if you want a bigass fixed stock shotgun

Good point. My friend now has my defender 1300 that I put a Knoxx folder on back in Mar 2003 (Pretty sure I am the first in Canada to have one because they told me they had never sent one to Canada before, yes called direct ;)) But I remember at the time thinking be nice to shave a few inches off but no one had short barrels then, only 14" and they were a fortune and made it prohib.

Thanks for the feedback, was this the latest batch?
It's a shame they cant do a quick polish of the chamber.....I'd pay another $20 for a polished chamber.

New batch, chamber isnt the problem it looks polished.
The problem is the part that locks into the receiver is much thicker and bit longer than standard barrel so its hard to lock in to battery and unlock.

This is what i found on mine, others may be ok but i compared it to my 18.5 police barrel which works fine.

I am using express mag receiver.

just got my 14" in today installed it on my 870 super mag and it locked up perfectly. I am going out with my boys tomorrow to try it out. so I will try get a range report in ASAP.
 
wow. I finally got this bad boy out, it turned my 30" goose gun into one of the handiest shotties I've ever used. it fits on my quad perfectly with no barrel sticking past the rack and getting cought on branches. it shoots, loads, ejects perfectly. the bore was clean and free of perkerizing and fit was tight but that is a good thing. it patterned amazingly well for not being chocked out, I was able to get pellets on target at 50 yards with enough force to kill. so all in all a very good buy, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a sbs.
 
The bolt face is tight on the edge of the chamber on my super magnum. I deburred some rough edges and cleaned up the strike marks on the barrel. Used a drill with some steel wool to polish up the chamber. It fits smooth now. I ordered a brass bead. I'll install it this week. Great back pack gun. The service is excellent with these guys. Great deal too.
