NEA Stripped Lower SPECIAL, All SOLD

I remember the finish colour being explained when they first came out. In order to get the depth in anodizing, and maximum durability, they had to sacrifice some blackness in colour. They turned out a bit grey.

Anyone have a good link or process to paint these and have it remain durable? Other than the standard "cerkote" or the like.

I've had a gun Armacoated two years ago and that product is thin, smooth and bullet proof(not literally). Mind you I had it done by the Armacoat guys themselves. Never seen a diy first hand but I'm going to do my lower either in armacoat or duracoat. Probably arma because I have experience with it.

BTW... my reg SAYS I have a Z on my serial number... I would be very sad if it didn't. That's why I bought it. Otherwise the matched upper and lower on SFRC is pretty much the same deal.

I gotta say, getting all these pieces for an AR sure add up! I may have to sell what I've got since there is no way I can afford to build it before christmas, and if I keep it I'm going to keep buying!

Let em sit. Doesn't cost you anything in the safe and you can build it over time. Trust me, it is way more fun to shoot something you've put together, then bought off the shelf complete.

That's my plan, I'm hoping to find a barreled upper or something since I don't want to invest in all the tools needed to put a upper together properly. But I will keep my eye out for stuff and let it sit until I can afford it. I'd rather sell my Tokarev first, but it's proving hard to do without having access to the EE currently.

You should wait a few days and see what other interesting sales I have....just saying :)

My 1st black rifle and my 1st AR build!!

NEA "Z" lower ...without the Z serial number, and came with the bolt catch already installed
DPMS LPK
Commercial spec buffer tube
Magpul CTR
5/30 P-Mags

Went together very smoothly with assistance from a YouTube video.
Now just need a 7.5 or 10.5 upper to finish it off!
