Mac claimed his gun was a factory semi but in reality it was Sudanese contract gun that had 1) the selector area nicely remarked. 2) a roll pin innthe sear hole. Mac won his case on a technicality, so I have been told by someone that was in the courtroom. (prosecutor/police misconduct) His rifle was nothing special and certainly not factory semiauto.

Mac is deceased and the rifle had been offered for sale a few years ago and I do not know what happened to it.
 
Just a little remark from NEA today on Social media,saying not to be dismayed at the rumours,that the NEA25 is still on track,even posting all the new NEA25 uppers.that said,I'm willing to bet that regardless of the ruling here in Canada,they will produce these on a large scale for export .

No legal basis to do such a thing. Haven't seen the firearms act change since Orlando. If the arguement is valid, they legally don't have much of a choice. Doesn't help their credibility before the courts as legal experts if political opinion can sway them.

So far the only source is canada ammo third hand through one of the other two forums and here. And NEA on Facebook saying that this is still moving forward.

I know Canam is a dealer for them, and nea is the obvious source, but canam's info and nea's info seem to be in conflict.

Until something is in writing, sources and third hand rumours don't help.

Sorry, I've heard about people and their "reliable sources" a million times over on the internet. Bring your "reliable source" on and his/her credentials - and proof of this classification - or this statement means nothing.
 
Lets remain optimistic and applaud NEA for challenging the RCMP ruling. NEA is stepping up to the plate to make this happen and we should be cheering them on.

is it me or did bill c-42 put the ability to prescribe a firearm restricted or non-restricted in the hands of the politicians? So even if NEA can prove they are building a non AR-15 "variant" the politicians (libtards) can deem it so. Ok tin foil hat. I said too much. We are all doomed.

Correct. C42 assigned that task to an appointed body of experts. Looks like the left has reappointed the RCMP "experts" with out regard for the law.

They just decided to not use the authority that C42 granted them. It's an oversight power. If the lab makes a politically unsavory decision, politicians can change things in our favour. Instead of just make guns more prohibited as it used to be. Now the pic can go both ways.
