Need a new 9mm. What's your fave and why?

The criteria was 9mm with money as no object. There are two guns that fit this class that are both excellent shooters, but one has the edge. Both are high end and top quality.
Of course I am talking about the STI TargetMaster 6" in 9mm and the SigSauer X6. The TM is based on the 1911A1 frame and slide, the Sig is based on the P226. The Sig is more money but the TM will outshoot it by a small margin because of the barrel to slide fit/lock.[the X6 barrel free floats in the slide hole] The Sig is stainless the TM is carbon steel. Both guns are available here in Canada.

i have a m&p 9 its a great gun...and the owners manual simply states not to shoot reloads...so if your gonna be silly...stuff happens...

STI Lawman IV. 4.25 inch bushing barrel and STI knows how to make a 1911 in 9mm. Forged frame with 30 line per inch checkering Tatical adjustable sights and you could add Dawson fibre optic front sight.

Can't argue with either of these choices, I'm going to be looking for a 9mm in the next few weeks and I'm either going to pick up a Hi Power or Jericho 9mm steel frame (if I can find one).

Lots of good ideas. Some I've thought of myself(Sig Mk25), some I've forgotten but am glad to be reminded of (Browning Hi-Power), and some I've never considered before but now am (Sig P210). Thanks fellas.

I agree 100% I shoot nothing but reloads from my M&P. If you want to load "hottish" reloads for bear defence against paper targets you get what you get!

If your gonna consider Browning High Power - why not an improved version - CZ. CZ has some sweet guns coming out soon, such as the new Accu- Shadow. Money no object this Accu-Shadow is almost 2x the old Shadow SP-01. Has barrel bushing and other accuracy goodies.

Other choice for me would be STI Tactical SS 5.0. $2000 base, option the heck out of it. 1911s in 9mm rock - add full length dust cover - OMG.

Browning HiPower. I like the classics. Try it, if you don't like it enough, it'll sell and you can have the fun of picking something else.

Another vote for the Hi Power here. Although I know someone with a really nice P-38 that is a great shooter too. A very enjoyable pistol in my limited experience.

New here, just thought I would ask why no one has mentioned a Beretta PX4 Storm in 9mm? Is there something I missed somewhere about this gun? It is currently on my wishlist (when I can).

Another vote for a Sig p210 target. Great ergonomics and it shoots like a laser. Just pick one up and you'll be sold, I was.
