Need a new 9mm. What's your fave and why?

For something different. Somebody mentioned a 1911 in 9mm, but seemed to indicate that price was prohibitive. Wolverine carries the Shooters Arms in a 1911 9mm. Full size, commander, and a Sigma (officers model). I have to say that they look pretty nice, and I've been trying to talk myself either into or out of one for a while.
 
I'd say 226 if you want something different, but not too different. Simalir trigger pull (da/sa). Or if you wanted completely different, glock 17/19.
 
Obviously I jest. About the CZ75, they are reliable, all steel, decently priced and proven. That being said, I find them incredibly boring, bland and the epitome of uninspiring. Been down that road. Boooring. I'm not a cop, an "operator", or military. I'm an enthusiast. I LIKE to shoot, so I shoot what I LIKE. I don't like CZ75's. I mean no offense from jokes.........plus, my mother-in-law owns a CZ75. Booooo.
 
If price isn't an issue, then go with the sig p226, as it functions much like an m9, except without the safety. If i had the option of replacing my current gun (92fs) for the p226, I would do it in a heartbeat.
 
That sounds like a pretty cool mother-in-law. Better stay on her good side 😄

The P210's are now made in Germany and called Legend, Legend Target and Super Target, It would be the last 9mm's to leave the stable! I just love those two...

I've had about 20 different 9's-Depending on your budget, purpose i'd suggest any of the following:
Tanfoglio Stock 3
CZ Shadow
CZ 75 single action
STI Rangemaster


All are magnificent to hold and use.

The Sig 210 Super Target looks like an amazing pistol, i'm sure it handles like one as well.

My 0.02

Price not a factor, then a high end 1911 in 9mm

Cheaper.....my favourite two 9mm's I own that are under 1k in price are my Steyr M9A1 and my Sig P226 Elite
 
i have a m&p 9 its a great gun...and the owners manual simply states not to shoot reloads...so if your gonna be silly...stuff happens...
