Need a new 9mm. What's your fave and why?

No CZ75s, because it's the volvo of all pistols? Doesnt that imply that cz75s are more reliable than a wood burning stove?

Just shot a Gloack 17, 22, USP and CZ Duty P-07....and love the P-07. It's literally point, shoot and on target. The trigger is smooth and becomes less/not a factor in aiming. I find that in the others above, pulling the trigger even so slightly most often affect the aim.
 
dude, you should TOTALLY get an STI Trojan. maybe even the unusual long-slide version.

Wow ... Gorgeous ... Kind of gives me a lump ... In my pants. I'm a huge fan of BHP's , 1911's and CZ so I would have to suggest any of those 3 to the OP. Then again I'm biased , I'm fairly old school. I haven't really shot any Tupperware pistols. Most shooting I've done was revolvers , steel frame and black powder. I think it's time for me to get with the times ... To the EE!!!

Well by eliminating CZ's, you have eliminated one of the most accurate, best 9 mm's out there. I have a number of 9 mm's, my CZ 85 Combat and CZ SP-01 Shadow are head and shoulders better than any other 9MM I have owned and I have owned a lot. Shoot both jacketed and cast bullets equally well. You can pay a lot more for a 9MM than either CZ I have, but would have to spend many times the money to get a better more accurate 9MM

I'm just going to say 1911 Commander, and let you choose your own detail package (brand) ;)

I was ready to give up on 9mm completely until I got a nice shooting 1911, and I tried quite a few pistols in the interim.

These days 9mm is what I most look forward to shooting, and I have from .22lr to 44 magnum and 45 colt. It's all because I finally have a gun that I enjoy shooting it in.
 
OK, for this volvo comment, is it because it looks boring? boxy? I have one, and don't care what people really think of it, just wonder the reasoning for the tag. I would think the hi power is also a volvo then?

More probably that it doesn't really have any really stand out physical characteristics? I thought they were a Hi Power clone with a DA trigger at first.

The Jericho has a bit more of a look to it, with the the PPK-ish snout.

Don't know. The CZ is certainly one of the great pistols out there - can't argue that.

Anyone tried one of the Turkish clones that Del Selins has listed? Tri-star or something...
