Need a new 9mm. What's your fave and why?

The best shooters are the heavy ones. A heavy pistol results in exceptional reduction in muzzle flip and recoil over the light weights. Also makes imperfections on the trigger squeeze more forgiving. Better weight/trigger pull ratio.

Best shooting pistol in the collection is the X-Five Steel Frame. SP-01 is heavy too.

Well, I picked it up today. Very impressed with STI build quality. Cycles extremely smooth. Put a pair of my favourite grips on it to make it mine.

I agree. I like the feel of a 1911, CZ, or Jericho 941.
Dislike the Beretta 92, aluminum framed SIGs or anything "plastic"

My favorite changes from time to time but right now this one is my favorite.

So much shinier and prettier than my Beretta 92 INOX

I'd go with a Sig P226 9mm. The Navy Seals upgraded to it after using the Beretta for years. Accurate and reliable, can go to hell and back with it.

Yep, all them Beretta, Caracal, CZ, , FNH-USA, Glock, HK, Kahr, Kel-Tec, Kimber, Walther, Ruger, SigSauer, SCCY, Springfield, S&W, Taurus 'Tupperrware" guns is just plain junk - till ya shoot 'em!

Hey, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool 1911 fan, but I gotta hand it to the plastic guns. Their lightweight and 'light' price makes them quite attractive to new shooters, especially the ladies, and there ain't nuthin' wrong with that!

CZs are clearly the best 9mm <$1000 pistol around!

As to their appearance, anyone who says they're ugly has obviously never seen Miami Vice lol...

A stainless CZ75 is the closest I can get to the ultimate goodness that is Sonny's Bren Ten!

Just remember to check the weight. If planning to get in to competitions such as IDPA, and heck I didn't plan to when I bought my first pistol, some CZ's are too heavy to be allowed.
