I know you dont want to beat the sako ejection issue to death, but i spent 20 minutes fixing mine and couldn't be happier -- i simply placed a tiny 2mm spacer ( a piece of narrow gauge electrical wiring) into the extractor spring hole and then put the spring in on top of that -- voila -- prob fixed.
My gun was used when i bought it-- an 85 Bavarian in 7mmRM. The rifle was beautiful and the owner got rid of it because of this ejection issue into his nice scope. The retail on a new one was 2400 -- this one, with 6 boxes of cartridges down the pipe i picked up for 1400. Its one of my favorite guns. Its a really great bolt gun, and the set trigger is a dream at the range.
