Need comment about I Run Gun store

It seems for the handful of negative comments there are a lot of positive ones. I can only speak to my own experiences, so the OP can take them as he wishes. The place was pretty new when I ordered, so I'm hoping things have gotten smoother since.

Make sure to read the tutorials in their section first, to understand the import process and fees.

Ordered some mags in the summer, communication was almost non exisitient, But I did get the mags 3 weeks later.(in stock item) I ordered some items on Jan.02, from the US site, figured they would be on the 15th shipment to Canada .. ? Still have no idea? Emails don't get answered... Meh~ I figured 4 to 6 weeks, see what happens.

The January import came in last week, items are shipping out this week.

I have made them import a TRG42 + bipod + brake that I bought from Eurooptics.com.
I saved a lot !!!! You would ship your pant if I tell you :0
The only problems are communications with them and of course they ship via CanPar .
I would do business with them again.

Ordered a glock 20 on their black friday sale and it took exactly 4 weeks. I got updates twice with being approved and when the pistol was in Canada. Only downside was dealing with canpar. They have some very hard to find savage rifles that are calling my name.

They are great ordered a mka 1919 from them on Jan3 got it Jan 17 That's a restricted transfer and shipping in about two weeks that's awesome service. I also sent some pre sale inquiries via between Christmas and new year and got responded to in less then 48 hrs plus two phone calls that got answered as well.

Well have sent a couple emails with question and nothing back.
The incident shipping products in garbage bags causing damage to items.
The amount of negative comments has me turned off even more.
I wont use them unless its something I MUST have and cant get in Canada. The money saved would have to be major for me to consider dealing with them.

I bought a Glock 19 from them, shipping was a little on the slow side, but other then that I was very happy with them, couple guys in my gun club have also used them with good results.

Bought a couple handguns and a few extra mags from them last year during the Black Friday sale. Goods arrived a couple weeks ago, took a while but I anticipated this due to massive orders during holidays, ON CFO transfers, and what not.

Emails sent (asking for updates) always got replied promptly, once was even replied by a phonecall.

Goods arrived via Canpar. No issue.

Mags were inside ziplock bags. Guns were inside their factory plastic case + factory cardboard.
All the above were inside a black trash bag, and the trash bag was inside a saran wrap.

NOT happy with the substandard packaging. Happy that there was no drama.

Overall : happy with the purchase, will buy again.

If you order something from their Canadian site (irunguns.ca), payment is still in US dollars but shipping is quick and painless. I'll order from there again. Not sure if I want anything bad enough to order from their US site (irunguns.com).

Prices are not too bad on the .ca site but with the drop in the CAD currency, it's going to cost a bit more now. I wish they would update their website and remove the stuff that is out of stock. Most of the stuff listed looks like it's available but when you click on them...it's out of stock. PITA

After reading all these posts I think I'd be awful Leary of using them for anything. Seems like a fairly high percentage of screwups.

had 3 good sales with them.
1 bad sale.

no excuse from them, just a sh!t show on that one that went sideways.
at the end of the day they are new and going through a lot of growing pains, so one would hope they will get better over time.

ill continue to use them to import but ill buy from my go to gun store for items in stock.

and as for importing, they ship all orders on like the 16th of the month.
then how ever long it takes it to clear customs, usually like 3 days.
then the stuff hits edmonton and it takes them a couple days to unpack and ship the stuff out.
so as long as your order is from their US store or at their US store a couple days before the 16th so the paper work can get done before cut off you will have it by the end of the month.

which for items you cant find in canada is pretty damn good.
