Proof marks appear Spanish. According to : The Standard Directory of Proof Marks ...... Right hand mark on water table and barrel flats is, quote: "Optional smokeless powder proof of shotgun barrels with a proof pressure of 12,090 psi". The mark looks like a shield, with BP...over a lozenge, inside. Which is exactly what the photo shows. Proof mark to the left, appears to be from Eibar. Rectangular shield, marked by large X...with stylized knight's helmet above. Unless marked on the rib, lack of a maker's mark anywhere on the locks leads to the conclusion that this is likely a cheap, Spanish-made double gun.
