Could someone who knows what they're talking about tell me if I'm looking at a 250" or 350" bull? I haven't looked at enough elk to narrow it down further than that.



Also, this area where I'm hunting is 300ish acres, mostly alfalfa fields and aspen forest, with a small river running parallel to it off one side. To the north and east is basically endless bush, to the south and west is farmland. Every summer I get several bulls (never a single cow) on camera but never see them once the season opens. I'll be out there on August 25th when archery season starts, any advice? Should I be calling? Are they taking off after the cows because the rut is starting?
