I cleaned this old single shot up. I took the bolt apart and cleaned all the crud out and it seems to work real nice!
The problem I have is: If I load a shell and close the bolt and re-open the bolt, it does not matter how slow or fast I do this...the shell will extract every time. When I get out to the field and fire it, the spent shell will not come out. I have to dig and dig to get it out. Its almost like the shell has expanded enough that the extractor will not pull it out. When I say "dig it out" I mean " work at it like crazy with my truck keys or what ever I have on hand and it takes quite a few minutes to get it out". Next time I try it, I`m taking my cleaning rod with me and work at it from the other end.
One other thing I noticed also. When I install my cleaning rod from the crown. I get it in till there is maybe 5-6 inches before the action and it gets snug. Is this common? I never ever noticed that before in any gun I own. Thanks,Darcy
