Need help with my EDC!!

I love good/$$$

BUT

It always sucks 2x as hard when you lose it...it happens!!!

Get something in the mid $$$ range with a GOOD and DEEP pocket clip is all I can say!!!
 
Cold steel ultimate hunter. Tough and light, flat ground blade for extra durability, triad lock won’t fail. I’d recommend it everytime.
 
The ZT 0450! Its slim enough for most pants. Its has abit of class but still functions well. S35VN stainless. A good EDC blade length.
I have the 055 also but it is bulkier but fits bigger hands well. The 055 is my favorite and super smooth action.
I don't have the 0460TI or 0470 but they look like they would be great EDC knives. If I find a stocking dealer I may have to get one of em too.
 
Life’s too short to carry/use cheap knives. Live a little people !!

I pay for a spyderco for the hole/design/functionality/materials

I’d rather not pay Benchmade for a butterfly tax. One day I’ll get a green 940 but too many knives in the meantime on my radar.

What’s with people having to have an ultralight knife like a Bugout. Does 2-5 ounces pull down your pants ???

They made a mini Bugout FFS !!! $181 at warriors and wonders WTF
 
My 3 favorites , after all , who only has one EDC blade ?
Spyderco Delica 4 , very light , I often have to pat my pocket to make sure it's still there, 4 different ways to put the clip , not too pricey to replace if lost .
Kershaw Blur, not heavy for the size of it , love the safe assist open makes it quick to use one handed .
And the Kershaw leek , small , a little heavy , fast one hand opening , if you're opening a lot of boxes or packages , this is the one you want .

Light weight folding, inside pocket with a clip would be my go to.

But not opposed to a fixed blade as long as its a good and doesn't imprint like a Bowie knife on my side, less preferred as I am not always wearing a belt.

I’ve been carrying a simple, relatively low cost Cold Steel (recon model, I think) folder for...gotta be 15 years. It is not gently used. Has held up even under unreasonable demands. Still takes and holds an edge perfectly. When the drop point got chipped (prying a metal band off a wooden crate) I ground it down to a tanto shape. Best knife I’ve ever carried. Maybe not trendy, certainly not fancy, just solid quality.
 
Medium priced: your choice of Buck. They have three times delivered on their rock solid warranty for me, mostly my own fault.

Top of the Line: Spyderco Lil’ Lionspy Titanium. Rock solid, brilliant blade shape and material, only 4oz. I have the full sized one, and my only regret is that I didn’t get the “Lil’” version due to its compact nature and even lighter weight. But the full sized one has been the finest blade I’ve ever had. I couldn’t afford to replace or buy one, but it was the gift of a lifetime.

I believe anyone would be happy with either of the above, according to their budget.
