As I said in my original post.. I'm getting back into hunting and my head is spinning as I shop for my workhorse 12 gauge. I didn't have 3 1/2" back in the day and I'm wondering if I really even need it! I seem to recall nailing my geese with 3" mags back then. So here's my question: (please respond with actual experiences or known issues please!)
Aside from the very expensive Maxus and Versamax (which I'm not really inclined to buying - Benelli out of the question) can anyone make any recommendations? Obviously I'll need to hold the gun to see how it feels but I really would appreciate any good advice on what is reliable and what is not worth the money.
Remington 11-87, Mossberg 935, Stoeger 3500? Pros/Cons? Does the 11-87 Super mag 3 1/2" also take 2 3/4"? cycling problems in any of these?
