Need to downsize ...

1.Winchester 70 Clasic s/s in 243
5.Winchester 70 Clasic s/s in 300 wsm

Since you're about to give up your guns (downsizing for me is like 4 out of 40, not 3 out of 5), you may keep it uniform: same gun type. At least you can have it easy on parts, etc.

243 would take anything small up to a deer, 300 WSM would take down anything from deer to a bison + provide a good distance.

I forgot. Consider the fact, that you can sell the rest of the guns for a good price without getting a big hit ($$$). 7-08, 270 WSM and 30-06 wouldn't be hard to sell, while you can keep the guns that would do the job.

Which two of these 5 rifles and calibers should stay at home?
Three mast go with great regret.
1.Winchester 70 Clasic s/s in 243
2.Tikka 3 Lite s/s in 7-08
3.Whinchester Clasic s/s in 270 wsm
4.Ruger 77 Mark ii s/s in 30-06
5.Winchester 70 Clasic s/s in 300 wsm
Thanks,
Evan

I would keep numbers 1 and 4, and sell the others.

Well ... thank you guys for your input.I have made the decision to keep them all.I have two young girls and I would like to start them with 243 and get them gradualy to 7-08 and 270wsm in the future. Will see how that turns out.For my personal needs/wants I guess I would like to keep 300wsm and 270wsm.
One more time thank you all for the help.
Evan

Hi guys,
Yea ... all the rifles are in mint condition, shoot way better than I can and are paired with VXII 2-7 Leupolds and 300 WSM has Zeiss Conquest 3-9 on it.

They are in too good of a condition to part with any of them.

I know there is a lot of caliber ovelap, but I guess my girls will sort the things out for me in the future.
Thank you,
Evan
