Never done this before,REPLY FROM LEE

I've never had any issues with Lee.

Conversely I had an issue with an RCBS digital scale that never worked from day 1 on batteries (only plugged into the wall). Contacted RCBS and the response I got was that they would grudgingly take a look at it and see what was up if I sent it back to them on my dime.

That is pretty much what I stated in my reply, I was very positive and non derogatory and even stated I wanted a custom die for another chambering, but had no response after that, so IF I do need a collet die I will get it from the EE and support a fellow member but will do everything in my power not to buy new from Lee.

Have had way too much great service from others, I will lean in that direction more.

I'd buy a Redding or another make. Email them back and say thanks for your response but I was hoping you would stand by your product and offer a free replacement but I'll just buy a new die from another manufacturer that does.

Why didn't you just take the RCBS Scale back to the retailer for exchange or refund? This also helps the retailer judge the quality and reliability of the products being sold...

As far as Lee Precision goes, I have about 30 die sets and many other Lee items. I have never had a problem with anything Lee unless it was my own fault (read: abuse) and I won't ask anyone to pay for my own mistakes.

That is odd that they won't replace it for free, maybe they are having to replace too much stuff lately so free isn't an option anymore.

That sounds about right. They might have been good in the past, but since a year or so (when I got a very poor quality mould)
they decided not to stand behind their product and let their customers hang high and dry.
As most of you stated already, there are much better companies out there.
