The Longest Mile a new 1600m range will soon be open to the membership. Hope to have the range in order to start using this new range by July 1, 2014. All the heavy construction is complete, still lots of little jobs that will be turned over to the members to chip away at over the Summer. Some planned work bees will get a lot of these loose ends tied up to enhance what is already a great start to a Range that will offer something that few ranges have or could offer. The Long Range component of our new range will fill a missing niche in the shooting community.

The Longest Mile has a LONG RANGE from 200m out to 1600m with target holders and back stops every 100m.

The second rifle range is the MEDIUM RANGE which has target holders and backstops at 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, and 500m.

The third Rifle range is the SHORT RANGE having 25m and 50m target holders and back stops.

The PISTOL RANGE is totally inclosed and is planed to have 4 shooting stations with in this area.

A range is not complete with out SHOT GUN RANGE. An area is being developed for Trap and potentially other Shot Gun disciplines.

Also have set aside an area for archery

Location is South West of Edson

Memberships are $80 and can be purchased at Ron's Source for Sports in Edson. Life time memberships are being offered at a discounted price of $1000 till December 2014 when the normal price of $1500 will be reviewed. Contact the club through edsonfishandgame.ca for more information. Thank you to the shooters from Leduc and Spruce Grove that have already secured their LIFE membership and supporting our club to help make this a fantastic range for everyone.

Finally, this could not have happened with out our sponsors and volunteers so a big thank you to them! Still lots of sponsorship opportunities remaining so please contact us to help out and get exposure and advertising.

LONG RANGE

Listen don't take this wrong way. I'm super jealous your not in ontario cause that looks like a awesome place to shoot. As a business though I'm a little worried. I don't know what rules are like out there. But like in ontario the CFO requires incredible berm heights etc for even 200 yards. Hence most clubs here are 100 yards. Plus having that place run for guys to set up targets etc at 1600m. Will they be using trucks? Will someone be running the place at all times to make sure it's safe? I dunno. This seeks very home made to me. And don't get me wrong I'd give you $80 to go their even once. But I just don't know how this place won't get shut down by the legal type. Maybe I'm missing something

WTF Chago! You think they would not get Alberta CFO range approval before building this? Doing so would be a fool's errand.

Personally I don't see anything much different (range construction) then what I would see today at Bull Meadow Range in NS or Homestead Range SW of Calgary.

Incredibly stupid response. None of what you said could've been thought through first.

NICE. I hope I have the opportunity to shoot there some day soon, and wish you guys success in operating.

This also reminds me I really need to leave his sh!thole province.

You are so lucky.

I am going to take my vacation time in Alberta from now on. Are there any accommodation nearby for outside from Quebec like who would like to try is .50BMG on a super range like yours.

regards.

Edson Fish and Game has already received CFO approval. They are going to be open tentatively July 1. You would be more accurate to assume that before an organization invested SEVERAL hundred thousand dollars to build a range, they would understand the the plating requirements, management requirements, and have been in contact with the CFO. Ontarios dealings with Wyatt have mafe you all naysayers.
