New 2,000 Meter Range In Grande Prairie Alberta - Show Interest?

They received a total of 15 emails for, and 2 emails against which were presented at the meeting.

I spoke with my local councillor, and asked him to reach out to their planning commission as that number seemed extremely low, and guessing a lot of emails ended up in the Junk Folder.

Provincial Approval is already in, it’s literally waiting on the saddle hills planning commission at the moment.

I'd be tickled pink to be able to shoot to 1000m.

The best around here is 300 yards. I have to drive for over an hour, and halfway up a mountain, to get there.

All information was sent to the Province pending approval. Happened November 9th. Apparently they have untill January 16th to respond yay or nay.

Jason Nixon is the Minister of Environment & Parks. I just sent him an e-mail myself to voice support for this project.

Hate to be a naysayer but with the amount of gun owners in GP alone, the utter lack of care in getting this built is disgusting

I would also send a letter to Finance Minister Toews, his farm is about 25 minutes as the crow flys from this range, and most of his farm hands hunt so this range also affects him.
 
Might be up to nixon, but ministers talk, and Travis is a really good guy.

Texting people like mad to get on this, Hopefully better then the last response.

A forum member here is tapped to be f-class and TR match director if it goes ahead, but I dont know if he reads here much, i’ll fire him a text too

Lots of calibers can shoot that distance, but their affect on target at that range won't leave much for a practical use in the field beyond punching paper or ringing steel.

There are lots of decent hotel’s. I think my ex pays about 95 a night during teacher convention.

Holiday inn runs about 130 a night.

Lots of great places to eat.
