New .22 but what ruger or tika

i have a t1x. its no longer stock but it shot lights out when it was. i dropped it into a krg bravo and an IBI 22" barrel. but if i had to buy another 22 to keep stock, itd be another t1x

So I bought the tikka what a beautiful rifle cost me 768.00 with taxes picked it up at bass pro in Vaughn they had 5 well now 4 surprised I did notice it the other day now need to find scope base for it any ideas don’t really care for the 11mm groves scope rings

its not perfect. but ellwood epps had some CZ mounts that fit. i was able to get a 30 moa one. it was snug and not a 100% match to the rifle but clears ejection slot and caused me no issues.

Ya the m77/22 are not cheap and they are also hit and miss in the accuracy department beautifull rifles though I have an original carbine version with open sights and the boat paddle stock. Shoots awesome after shimming the bolt recutting the crown and redoing the trigger.

We have the Anarchy Outdoors, Area 419 and Tac Ord rails available. Or as C.308 mentioned we also have the KRG Bravo T1X /and packages!

Congrats on the new Tikka!

If you prefer blue steel and walnut, there's this option.. T3 Hunter stock, which requires very minor inletting.

I need the comb riser to get my eye in the right place, which is unfortunate. It's a lovely piece of wood.

I recently sold the scope that was on this rifle, so I'm not shooting it until the scope gets replaced or this is sold. That might be a spring decision..

If you go with rings only, I can recommend the Warne 721 or 722 rimfire rings from Bass Pro. Solid steel, switchable from 3/8 to 11mm.
There's a trick to getting them on and off the scope without scratching the finish on the scope though.

My vote is also with the Tikka, I got 16" from Select shooting supplies (actually at 649$) and shoot quite good. I also get the KRG bravo chasis kit from Go big with the rail and extend mag release. could do less than a 1" decent barrel and good action. trigger pull is also lighter and easy ajustable up to 1,5 lbs. I do swap the spring with a yo dave and now get 12 oz with a tiny creep.

I also like the CZ wood stock are beautiful, barrel are good and action stiff trigger ok with a yodave install CZ could do a great shooter:O)

@chilly807 very nice work with the T3 Stock !!

Wow, I really like that.

Like, for the first time since the T1x has come out I think I might want to own one. Is that a T3 os T3x stock? Bolt holes line up and all that jazz? Feel free to PM if you're concerned about thread hijacking.

It's a T3 Hunter stock, from a fine gentleman in Saskatchewan who had no use for it.
To use it with a T1x barreled action, you need to drill a small hole directly behind the rear action screw (covered by the bottom plastic), and remove a small amount of wood on either side of the mag well.

That's it. Everything else is plug and play, the barrel is completely free floating.

Neither modification prevents it from being used again for a T3.

I got lucky, it has a bit of figure in the wood, which isn't common with Tikka.

Sweet, I probably won't do this personally to my rifle but this looks cool. Like the option

Very nice, is that the short or the long barreled version?

Mine is the 20", to my eye it would look better with a 22" or 24" barrel to better match the proportions of the stock.
I thought very briefly about shortening the forestock slightly, but could see that turning into a dog's breakfast. I decided to leave well enough alone.

Casey and Peter at Tactical Ordnance make a 30 MOA rail specifically for the Tikka T1X, I have one on mine and it fits perfectly.

I don't get the $170 price tag on this item.

It's a rail.

The MDT is less than half the price, albeit in 20 MOA. Does +10 MOA add that much $?

Well just scored a smoking deal on a new bushnell forge 2.5-15x50 looking to get out to the 300 yard range has 70 moa of adjustment so gonna need a rail with some can’t to it
