New 303 Brit stalking rifle

One of my current english stalking rifles that I picked from reliable gun a few years ago a BSA Lee Speed

I have an almost similar MLE that had the fore end cut down and different sights installed

Nice concept but I'd like it better with a British style action like Farquharson or Martini copy as opposed to the Winchester copy.

if I only had the money to set up id love to manufacture new martini rifles I still can't figure out how they machined the knuckles for the breech block with the tooling they had back then.

A little late getting in on the discussion, but my #1 303Br. stalking rifle was/is the Jungle Carbine. My first virtually stayed, year round, behind the seat of my old PU style '57 Landrover. I swear the banging and thumping it was subjected to, made it shoot better. I've had five over the years, and the one I presently have is MINT!! With it I have an original sling, a spare mag and a bayonet with sheath and related trimmings. Don't believe I'll ever be without one.

My single shot stalking rifle isn't a 303 but a 6.5 X 53R but is a fast handling rifle
The other is a little heavier as it is 500

That's exactly what I mean ... both gorgeous, very lucky to have those.
I used to have one in 450 and sold it about 25 years ago....

I fixed myself originally so I wouldn't sell my No.1 in 303 British... I bought two with consecutive numbers... Wifey was not impressed with me that day. LOL! I.M.O. I like the looks of the Ruger over the Uberti as well.

Guess I really one-upped you, I bought six consecutively numbered, ......five still unfired! As for the Uberti, the action is fine, but who designed that abortion of a stock?
