I love the concept and am pleased to see a factory new rifle in .303 however who thought that godawful rear sight/scope base was a good idea?? Great way to ruin the lines of an otherwise decent looking rifle. Imagine that rifle with the type of express sight found on some Lee Speed rifles!

Edit: Just saw the quarter rib alternate sight... What a great way to lose a few inches of sight radius!

really like the color case hardening on the receiver .Personally II don't think the shorter sight radius is a big thing, I can hit clays at 200 meters with a good rest with my open sights on my Ruger Stalking rifle. I would have prefered a set of express sights however.

how can you call a rifle 'stalking' with a 24" barrel? at 7.1lbs...it would become a nice light rifle if you cut off 6".

The 24" barrel is deceiving because of thee shortness of the action, and yes they do handle quickly.

I have the No 1 in 303 and love it, maybe i'll put some nice furniture on it like yours.

Leeper millled the rib right into the barrel JJ, it's a total custom, springs, hammer, barrel, trigger, the works!

I can see that looks great but I'll start with new stock, mine shoots so well I don't want to mess with anything else at the moment.

The Uberti just doesn't do it for me. A stalking rifle should be sleek and graceful, and to my eye that rifle is neither.

This is more like it... looks like a Westley Richards, any info on the rifle?

I'd gladly take one of Uberti Stalkers. These beauties have the option of a smooth sight base for folks with better eyes than mine.

Is it wrong that I want all of the above pictured rifles ? It may be a bit blasphemous , but I like the scope mount set up . It would be out of place on an original 85 , but this is a new rifle and has to appeal to modern tastes ( scopes that is ) I'd buy one , that being said , I'm a bit slutty when it comes to rifles .

Nice rifle, but the deop at comb does not look particularly scope friendly... I think I would just prefer a No.1-A in .303 Brit.
