The problems are pretty easy to fix. But I still never would have paid that price if I would have known the all the details. I am just pissed that he outright lied to me and is trying to blame someone else for it. We work on a trust basis when dealing on CGN and this cat should not be trusted as you can see in my above post.

I also missed in my above post: Notice how this gun didn't get put up for sale here in the EE. Probably because someone would have picked up on it very quickly, he is sneaky. I just went through all of the PM's between Tangroup and agilent one. He knew exactly every detail about that rifle from the start and I have the proof.

Hopefully the mods leave this one here. I would like people to know what a snake Tangroup is and if the thread gets moved allot of future potential buyers will not see this.

Sad to hear Davey! But good for you bringing this to light for everyone else to see. We don't need this crap going on around here.

If he is any kind of man he will refund you without question and take his parts gun back.

Should it go further south, let me know where to meet you with the torches and pitch forks.

Best of luck man.

Thanks for the heads up Crazy. I've only had one questionable deal, not enough to make me wreck his trader rateing but I won't be dealing with him again. Hope you can work something out.

Dave,

I am sorry to read how this deal has gone sour for you. After looking at the link to A-1's original post, I remember almost jumping at that one as well. I would have if I hadn't had a couple other deals on the go.

It really saddens me to see a fellow Gunnut taken advantage of and it really gives this site a black eye. I know that the majority of us Gunnuts are still honest, truthful, and helpful to others - which is why I hope this gets resolved quickly. True, there are lessons in life to be learned, but not like this.

Good luck to you and I hope this situation gets resolved to your satisfaction.

James

####ty deal, hope he takes it back & full refund. That is where a 3 day inspection comes in handy.I offer it on ALL guns I sell.Good Luck.DAN>>>

Backstabbing Is A Prevalent Art In This Forum

Time for me to poney up. I have offered partial money back to David, and refund if need be, but he has not received the gun yet and I asked him to look this over first before making a decision.

Is it ethical and within the forum rules to post trader's name and negative comments without the mods governing this, and before the gun arrives and transaction is over?

Is it ethical for a third party who is not part of the negotiation to spread seeds of discontent before the gun arrives?

Any misunderstanding or issues are dealt between the current transaction and members. My dealings with agilent were over when I bought HIS GUN and received it. You will note no negative feedback on him.

Is spreading negative word among the forum part and partial of the CGN atmosphere without any accountability to slander?

This transaction is not over yet as I am still in communication with the buyer.

Why is the whole CGN network involved in this??????????

All the other great transactions are still great. Why is one cgn member turning another member and the whole cgn membership sour ?

Too much time on your hands? Too many issues?

Let David and me work this out......the rest of you can rest for now until an amicable solution is reached.

Its all very simple....dont blow this out of proportion........please!

Sorry brother, be carefull what you post. You have been caught red handed and all the proof is there. This email shows that you were not telling the truth to me:

Dave,

I am sorry you dont like the Marlin. I did take this to the Oshawa range
and just fired it a few times to make it worked. I didnt even know there is
a crack in the stock. The previous owner didnt make me aware of this, and I
apologize. As soon as any gun arrives, I store right in the safe. Where is
the crack? As far as "double the price" I believe I paid $400 + or - on
this. I honestly looked for the price I paid, and believe it is that
figure. The postage to send to you cost $24.75. I just recovered the money
I spent. As far as the deal we made, I accomodated you as much as possible.

It is a second hand gun, and with all second hand guns I purchase there are
things that obviously show wear and modifications. No I did not modify
this, and got this the way it is now. When I purchase guns and expect a
brand new condition, I expect to pay brand new prices.

Please try shooting the gun and see how you like it. If it is anyone that
deceived, it is the seller that sold me the gun as he did not mention there
was a crack as you say.

Maybe just let it die, because in the end it will hurt you more than it will me and all the proof has been sent to the mods

I fail to see how it is very simple...
Aww, a Liar caught in the act, and you blame aligent one?
you fucxked the guy, and he aired it...
you got caught, and hopefully you get banned.

you can backpeddle all you want, but your words above are clear as day...
You lied to the guy, cheated him out of his money, and now your backpeddling?

I hope NO ONE EVER deals with you here again...
I had a buyer attempt to #### me here a few weeks ago, but I chose not to air it... Had I been in the same position as davey, I'd have aired it too...

Ban the liar!

Add.. Aligent, good for you Tangroup is to numb to realize there is an open forum to discuss new guns and such... and where scammers get found LOL.

Thanks Darryl! We seem to see eye to eye on this subject.

I am almost positive by Tangroup's email to me that he originally had no intention of returning any money to me but the when the #### storm hit he figured it was time to try and fix it.

I am glad you guys can see it......

By "seeds of discontent" you must mean "honest disclosure." I would hope my fellow forum members would do this for me if I were about to get screwed.

My dealings with agilent were over when I bought HIS GUN and received it.
I agree. The deal for the rifle was done. However our new "dealings" have a lot more to do with you implying that I had not disclosed the condition of the rifle to you, which is an accusation of dishonesty. Kinda' sucks that he has proof (original FS thread) of my disclosure, though?

Is spreading negative word among the forum part and partial of the CGN atmosphere without any accountability to slander?
Slander: a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report: a slander against his good name.

Malicious = nope.
False = nope.
Defamatory: nope.

Not slander, sorry.

Remember, you brought me into this. You just didn't think you'd get caught. All the emails and communications have been aired. None of my accusations has been the slightest bit false.

Why is the whole CGN network involved in this??????????
To prevent this from occuring again? Looking out for each other?

All the other great transactions are still great. Why is one cgn member turning another member and the whole cgn membership sour ?
Yes. It is my fault. I must have somehow caused you to be dishonest. I had no quarrel with you, until you pulled me into this. I have no vendetta or ill will towards you. This is all your own doing.

Fellas,

The irony of the whole thing is that Dave PM'd me with interest in the rifle (January) about 1hr after I had sold it to Tangroup. Man, life would be sooo much simpler if Davey was just a little faster on the "buy" button.:D

And no, when I bought this rifle I had no idea it was the same one ;) :D

For Christ sakes yes you were made aware of it!!!!! The flaws it had were mentioned in the post you liar. I remember it, as the tiger striped stock kinda jumped out at me and i wanted to purchase but had other things on the go. You read the same ad we all did. And the ad did indeed mention the flaws it had. I doubt you paid 400.00 for it as i know it wasn't posted for 400.00:mad: You could have made it right but instead you lied and got totaly busted. You need to watch what you say as alot of these guns are traded and sold amongst us and we all keep tabs and interest in these firearms even if we don't own them anymore. I once had a 7x57 FN Mauser that probably 10 of us here have owned by now. I owned it twice in fact and so did Doug i believe. You my friend have been caught in a bold faced lie.
