Is it ethical and within the forum rules to post trader's name and negative comments without the mods governing this, and before the gun arrives and transaction is over?
Is it ethical for a third party who is not part of the negotiation to spread seeds of discontent before the gun arrives?
Any misunderstanding or issues are dealt between the current transaction and members. My dealings with agilent were over when I bought HIS GUN and received it. You will note no negative feedback on him.
Is spreading negative word among the forum part and partial of the CGN atmosphere without any accountability to slander?
This transaction is not over yet as I am still in communication with the buyer.
Why is the whole CGN network involved in this??????????
All the other great transactions are still great. Why is one cgn member turning another member and the whole cgn membership sour ?
Too much time on your hands? Too many issues?
Let David and me work this out......the rest of you can rest for now until an amicable solution is reached.
Its all very simple....dont blow this out of proportion........please!
Dave,
I am sorry you dont like the Marlin. I did take this to the Oshawa range
and just fired it a few times to make it worked. I didnt even know there is
a crack in the stock. The previous owner didnt make me aware of this, and I
apologize. As soon as any gun arrives, I store right in the safe. Where is
the crack? As far as "double the price" I believe I paid $400 + or - on
this. I honestly looked for the price I paid, and believe it is that
figure. The postage to send to you cost $24.75. I just recovered the money
I spent. As far as the deal we made, I accomodated you as much as possible.
It is a second hand gun, and with all second hand guns I purchase there are
things that obviously show wear and modifications. No I did not modify
this, and got this the way it is now. When I purchase guns and expect a
brand new condition, I expect to pay brand new prices.
Please try shooting the gun and see how you like it. If it is anyone that
deceived, it is the seller that sold me the gun as he did not mention there
was a crack as you say.

Aww, a Liar caught in the act, and you blame aligent one?
you fucxked the guy, and he aired it...
you got caught, and hopefully you get banned.
you can backpeddle all you want, but your words above are clear as day...
You lied to the guy, cheated him out of his money, and now your backpeddling?
I hope NO ONE EVER deals with you here again...
I had a buyer attempt to f**k me here a few weeks ago, but I chose not to air it... Had I been in the same position as davey, I'd have aired it too...
Ban the liar!
Add.. Aligent, good for you Tangroup is to numb to realize there is an open forum to discuss new guns and such... and where scammers get found LOL.
By "seeds of discontent" you must mean "honest disclosure." I would hope my fellow forum members would do this for me if I were about to get screwed. Is it ethical for a third party who is not part of the negotiation to spread seeds of discontent before the gun arrives?
I agree. The deal for the rifle was done. However our new "dealings" have a lot more to do with you implying that I had not disclosed the condition of the rifle to you, which is an accusation of dishonesty. Kinda' sucks that he has proof (original FS thread) of my disclosure, though? My dealings with agilent were over when I bought HIS GUN and received it.
Slander: a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report: a slander against his good name.Is spreading negative word among the forum part and partial of the CGN atmosphere without any accountability to slander?
To prevent this from occuring again? Looking out for each other? Why is the whole CGN network involved in this??????????
Yes. It is my fault. I must have somehow caused you to be dishonest. I had no quarrel with you, until you pulled me into this. I have no vendetta or ill will towards you. This is all your own doing. All the other great transactions are still great. Why is one cgn member turning another member and the whole cgn membership sour ?
Fellas,
The irony of the whole thing is that Dave PM'd me with interest in the rifle (January) about 1hr after I had sold it to Tangroup. Man, life would be sooo much simpler if Davey was just a little faster on the "buy" button.

Sorry to hear about the deal gone sour Dave, I hope things work out for the best.
