I'm looking at getting a laminated stock for my Savage 12FV.
The stock maker says the stock is 99% inletted for the action. Just minor sanding around the bolt and at the back of the action and it should slide right in.
His site claims that it'll fit like the wood is growing out of the metal.
I like to think that I understand the idea behind glass bedding an action, but with this type of custom stock is it still necessary?
