New Arrivals: the Holy Grail of Mosin Nagants !!! Finnish M39 Rifles in 7.62x54R

Kiväärintukkiöljy and Tikkurila still makes the stuff , hmmmmmm, I know where you could buy that in Ontario at one time!!!!

Maybe, you still can!

If you guys are nice to me, I might tell you

Ok, Ok, where is Little Finland in Ontario?

Little Finland would be in Thunder bay, no?

I need the stuff... hook us up with the good stuff :)

They were made for the 185gn D166 bullet. MFS makes a non corrosive close approximation that is worth trying. Personally, I will likely hand load.
The Sierra 180gn pro hunter works ok.

I feed my sako m39 with Bulgarian surplus ammo. Shoots point of aim at all distance so far that I have tried. The Czech stuff seems to shoot to the right for my rifle. I also hand load using Russian surplus components.

Looks like it's getting to slim pickings, there are still some jewels left but a lot of the remaining seem to have cracked stocks and/ or pitting and rust.

Now I'm curious whether any of the Tradex guns survive the weekend... Hmm...

Guess that we will see next Monday. All the near perfect examples are probably already gone (even though they don't show sold at the moment) and the ones with blemishes still left.

Would those be the pulled x39 bullets that I just found out about today?

If so are they good?

I don't feel like casting lately...

I cant believe these came in !woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never used the X39, but I use the 54r pulled with good results. I can pull the 54r bullet, use the Russian powder which i use 49gr of, and re set the bullet in a new brass case and see an increase of accuracy by at least an inch, even more if I try harder.

So what are the non corrosiveammo options for these. If I had one of these as rapidly appreciating as these are, I would not want to shoot corrosive through these. And yes I know how to clean guns after corrosive ammo use.

Eta: just saw the post above, what type of cases and primers would you use gillen1? You can pm me if you prefer
