My sentiments exactly. If it was EITHER 3K price tag with a metal receiver OR plastic receiver at a significantly less price tag, maybe...but BOTH 3K and plastic? Ugh...
What is it with the increased use of plastics in key parts of the structure. I just got a DP12 Gen 2, and wish it was a Gen 1, as the body is not a hybrid of polymer an aluminum rather than straight up metal - even then with my optic and red dot the thing is over 12lbs...and it is supposed to be lighter? I get it that companies want lighter guns, but not sure I want to trade off structural integrity for weight.
Wonder how Beretta can justify the price given the materials used...maybe it's like Leaf tickets - people will buy them regardless of what the quality of the product is (or is not)
