New Build - Vltor M4A1 - Update March 2 - Project Complete

You are one jealousy inducing individual 50calshooter, when you get a little more familiar with that camera do a photoshoot with that, your norc m14 build, and any other toys you have that make me wanna go max out my visa.

Full Price for your kit?
you are missing a Larue Tactical Comp M4 mount

Price for the entire build, excluding shipping and tax came to about $3750. I'm not a big LaRue fan, more of an ADM guy. At first I was looking to replace the QRP2 mount but i gotta say it's not too bad, it's a decent mount. I might hang onto it for a while...

Holy f**k that looks beautiful! Bet ya itch'n to lay some lead downrange! :)

It sucks I wish I was allowed to just go 2 km out of town and give er, but I guess its too evil to be see in a rural setting. I'm heading down to Calgary again soon, we'll be able to test her out then...

Thanks for the kind words,

wow 3750 You must be Single just like me cou::ninja:

Get a couple brands of decent factory ammo and let us know how it shoots. Hopefully it shoots like a 3700 dollar gun. :p

I usually just run American Eagle, as long as it functions flawlessly and groups decent I'm happy... It was really the Surefire and Aimpoint that killed the price, the rifle itself wasn't too bad. But ya heres to hoping it performs as good as it looks.

Your rifle looks SIIIIIIIICK!!! Personally, I usually don't like the look of the A2 front post however, the way you have it on your rifle it looks really, really good!! Well done, sir. I'm still tallying up the final price on my own rifle but, I don't really wanna think too much about it. HAHA :p Anyways, congrats on a beeeeeeeauuuuutiful gun!! Now get the heck out there, shoot it lots, take lots of action pics and tell us all about it!! :ar15: :D

How do we like the diamond rear sight? Have you done much shooting without the aimpoint on there? Good choice with the ADM mount. I love their stuff. If it were possible, I think everything on my rifle would be ADM attached.

This configuration of high integritiy components is arranged in such a fashion that it has caused me to ruin a perfectly good set of pantaloons.

Bully to you Sir! You can expect a bill for my laundry.

Haha that's funny, thanks

I Just finished it yesterday, so I haven't got it out yet. But I do like the DOA aperture compared to the standard. It's a little easier to acquire the target, there's a little more room there. Also Its easier to find the center line inside the aperture to line everything up, the diamond point creates a sharp reference point. I like it!

I also haven't got the ADM mount yet, the Aimpoint mount is decent, it's basically their gen2 version and I'm guna run it for a bit, it's a solid piece...

Thanks, as you would know, this Vltor stuff is nice. I'm extremely satisfied with the outcome. 5 years ago there's no way I would've been able to put this rifle together. Kudos to our Canadian dealers!

how these guys know how to build their own AR15? Mind sharing the manual?

Also, which parts of the gun when you order will require your RPAL and transfer? How does it work? Do you do the register and transferring once it completed or when you acquire the parts?

How to build an AR15? Start here...

That link holds an entire video library on how to build an AR from the ground up. Enjoy.

The only part that needs a license to buy is the lower, everything else is just parts and can be bought with no special requirements.

Good luck
