New Canadian Model CZ 858

From memory, the paint is more black than the first one I bought. I had the nitrocarburizing (sp?) done to the first one right out of the box, so I'm not sure of the initial color. The finish on the Canadian edition is black.

That's what I did. I did one all "tacti-cool"(even though I had a actual wood stock set), and now have one in the wood as well :D.

where did you get the fake suppressor for the black one?

Im debating if the fake can would look nice on a stock Canadian cz 858 , I would lose the sight on the barrel which could affect aiming

Very nice. Aside from the engraving, the wood appears to be better than the non-Canadian version. I read somewhere that it's pressed wood chips, whereas your's looks like a solid chunk of wood.

Just curious, what's the big deal about getting a non-restricted 858-2? I can see some advantages such as easier transportation (no opaque case or ATT) but are there some other advantages that I'm missing? Ability to use it for hunting or simply an opportunity to *stick it* to the gun registry crowd? I'm speaking from the perspective of a person who only uses firearms at a range and doesn't hunt. The 858 looks sharp and the relatively low price of surplus ammo doesn't hurt either!

Technically the longer sight radius and longer bbl should help with accuracy.... however I don't think it we be by much of a measurable amount. 7.62x39 is not known as a "sniper" or "precision" calibre in the 1st place. But I'm sure either bbl length will easily shoot minute of a bad guy.:ar15:

Thats as good of reason as any to own one. #### the pro registration gun grabbing crowd, and #### all NDP and LIBERAL PARTY supporters. I've said it before, I hope the earth swallows them all up whole.

So much political hate in this post about a cz 858.....im sad that we live in the same province!

anyways i really am considering another 858 with wood and a patriotic maple leaf! i like my fab outfitted rifle but wood has a classic communist look
