Very pretty rifle!
Is the stock the same length (short) as the mystery wood version?
Yep, same exact length as the "beaver barf" stock

That's what I did. I did one all "tacti-cool"(even though I had a actual wood stock set), and now have one in the wood as well.

Im debating if the fake can would look nice on a stock Canadian cz 858 , I would lose the sight on the barrel which could affect aiming
If anyone gets one, tacticools it and wants to get rid of their wood shoot me a PM.
Wow that sounds perverted.............
why would anyone pay more for the wood and then tacticool it ?
.
Just curious, what's the big deal about getting a non-restricted 858-2? I can see some advantages such as easier transportation (no opaque case or ATT) but are there some other advantages that I'm missing?

Very nice. Aside from the engraving, the wood appears to be better than the non-Canadian version. I read somewhere that it's pressed wood chips, whereas your's looks like a solid chunk of wood.

Ability to use it for hunting or simply an opportunity to *stick it* to the gun registry crowd? I'm speaking from the perspective of a person who only uses firearms at a range and doesn't hunt. The 858 looks sharp and the relatively low price of surplus ammo doesn't hurt either!
Yes, I'd say having only the rear sight could affect your aiming.
. I spit coffee out of my nose with this!!!Thats as good of reason as any to own one. f**k the pro registration gun grabbing crowd, and f**k all NDP and LIBERAL PARTY supporters. I've said it before, I hope the earth swallows them all up whole.
