New Canadian Ranger Rifle , C19

Interesting that your preference for hunting is metal mags. I sometimes hunt with a bolt action that takes AICS pattern magazines and I always grab the polymer MDT ones. I find the steel mags (which I have quite a few of) rattle a bit in the bottom metal so I save them for the range or field target shooting. It's not about weight for me at all. The metal mags for the C19 don't rattle like my AICS mags so I don't mind them.

I like my firearms to feel rugged. Im happiest with an old milsurp. Out with a M38 Mosin for moose this year. Only have calf tags amoung the camp so i bought a bear and wolf/coyote tag as well to have some more targets. Can't go wrong with a little 203gr 7.62x54R to work on everything, and its light and handy. I have a new ranger in the cabinet but here i am with a 75yr old rifle instead.

Still though the first nations ranger's that i have come across rave about the C19 but a few still say they preferred the sights on the Enfield.
