Just received my new stainless USP; soon to be stainless Custom sport.
Something I noticed is the tight fit of the slide. ON my previous USP Custom Sport, there were plastic shavings on around the receiver rails, Q.C. evident, someone took the time to remove these on the stainless.

It is a new coded AG pistol, so I believe that is 2006, hence the new version of the hammer and probably new version of the Firing pin(?) This hammer is basically the match hammer from the Match Trigger kit, and is only to be used with the new version of the Catch.
Another thing I noticed is the area on the frame that the Top of the trigger piece rubs over has been reworked? Right behind the area where the trigger bar pivots on the trigger has a recessed area that must improve the feel of the trigger in DA.
The Trigger in DA is smoother right off the bat than my first USP. Not sure how much the trigger in relation to the frame and hammer has to do with that, but it is better. The only difference I see between the trigger on this new stainless I have purchased and my Custom sport is the hammer spring and trigger return spring, and of the course the trigger stop.
The lanyard loop does not have a lock out piece that was evident on my first USP, but lacking on my Custom sport.....?
All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase, and I only have to transfer my sights, hammer spring, and trigger return spring /trigger from my Custom sport onto this pistol. I also will change this from V1 to a V3=no external safety.

Evident changes from earlier USP's is the Q.C. of the plastic frame and DA shot. The SA is good, crisp, although slightly heavier, maybe around 4 lbs?
SA in a CS is almost a full pound lighter.

When I have made the complete switch to Custom Sport stainless I will post some pics.

The sights changed over easy enough. The Frame is very tight.
the hammers are different I believe. They certainly looked different. The Custom sport I had, had the old style match hammer. The hammer on my new stainless is not a match hammer, but does have the u shaped notch indicative of new usp's. All my Match parts were switched over. SA is very nice as it was before. The DA is not any better than it was before. No creep before, but near the end it has a lull that I don't recall from before. Match hammer look totally different on engagement areas. Not as smooth as the match, but that could be due to the 12,000+ rds out of it. I didn't have to adjust the trigger stop, but the trigger rebound spring was a ##### to put in.
Range test tomorrow. I will try and get some pics.

I really like the way the stainless USP looks. With your custom sport conversion, it looks like you will have the best of both worlds:D

Trying to find some batteries for my daughters digital camera.
It is complete and worked well at the range, but did have some reset problems when I decocked to from SA to DA. The hammers from the match and the new version regular hammer are different, in that you can not just mix and match. The trigger bar has a point that goes under the hammer axle. When you reset it is may have problems as it has some sharp edges. If you sent it to HK for repair, they would most likely find a sharp edge on the piece that rubs between the frame and the hammer axle. Pressure from the detent plunger can cause push up against the trigger bar and make things a little too tight. I completely swapped my match internals minus the sear spring, as the new version USP appears to have a very shiny (match?) sear spring already. Now it works great and has absolutely no problem resetting. Not sure exactly what caused the DA problem, although no problems exist with the SA.
If you are thinking about mix and matching "match" trigger parts, don't....you may run into the same problems. The sear from my old Custom sport is different from the New V1 Stainless, wider.

exactly. In the usa there are plenty of hk armorers, Actually, the closest to me is in Maine.

Hmm. This thread is not much improved with the pics, either, sorry to say. Blurry, red, and not centered. Can you get a better camera? Nice try, but yech.
