Got my new Kimber 84M Classic 7mm-08 yesterday. Put a 2x7 Bushnell 3200 Elite on it & took it to the range this AM. Shoots sub 1" groups -- Love it. Shot it in with 140 grain Remington PSP's --- then tried Federal Premium 140 Balistic tips. to my surprise there was no disconcernable difference in point of impact or grouping. :D
Ok guys the picts are up --- good thing I'm a better shooter than a picture taker.:dancingbanana:

Really nice wood :) and a great calibre. I've been looking at the Kimbers, too. Just have to put in some more OT first  Let us know how it works in the field, and good luck!

Is the barrel/action blued or a matte finish??

Nice piece of Lumber on that
Far too nice for a Hunting Rifle.......:p ;)

I gotta ask as I'm not too familiar with Kimbers.......what type are the bases & rings.....the bases look Custom or are they fitted by Kimber or even integral with the reciever ? Just curious.

Looks like A Nice Package :)

deer gun

They are Kimber bases. They accept most rotary type rings. I read in their lit that they have match grade bls, triggers & chambers. The way this one shoots for a 5lb 6 oz gun I can believe it. The trigger has 0 creep, very crisp and supposably breaks at around 3 lbs. I'm first & formost a shotgunner but do some deer/moose hunting. At the range today, I offered a friend (a competitive centre fire shooter) to shoot this gun. After fireing the first shot he just said 00ooo with a big smile on his face. When he gave it back to me he said "nice gun" --- you'd have to know him. Cheers!

I have all the rifles I will ever need (can hardly believe I said that). But I have a daughter and son that hunt. So far they have both used a Rem. 788 in .243. I think it is time that at least one of them (probably my son) gets something a little bigger. The Kimber 84 has caught my eye. Maybe a Montana. Maybe in 7mm-08. Maybe I'll borrow it to carry in the mountains a bit.

Instead of Kimber bases Leupold makes bases for the 84M and they are 1/3rd the price of the Kimbers.

Yes it's true that Leupold makes the bases but compared to the Kimber bases the Leupolds look like an afterthought, buy the Kimbers they are beatifully shaped and very nicely machined.
I have the same set on my 8400 270WSM but recently put on a pair of Talley lightweights, they are lighter and fit well also.

Grouser, very nice iron, Kimber is making nice rifles and very good bang for the buck IMHO
