New from North Sylva!!! Non restricted M1 Carbines!!!

Just got mine ordered from SFRC. Can't wait to get this baby in my hands.

Thanks for importing such an important piece of history. Even if this are modern reproductions.

If your looking for carbine mags the are going for $25 on wolverine supplies! Anyone know a Canadian dealer that actualy has the carbine itself in stock?

I just received my M1 Carbine from Ellwood Epps today. What a beauty! I don't know what possessed me 30 years ago to sell the one I had.

This one from Auto Ordinance is really nice. The stock is well done in Walnut. I have a question for North Silva. Maybe this betrays my ignorance since it's been so long since I bought a gun with wood on it. The wood seems fairly dry. Am I right in assuming I should be putting some Tung or Linseed oil on it?

Actually I think they based the restricted status on the carbine using it as the standard for being restricted. It even says in the law barrels with a length under 18" like the M1 Carbine. I really don't know why they had such a hate on for the little guy.

This is so. A couple of high profile crimes using the M1 put them on the Lib radar.

Ron Basford was justice minister when c51 was passed.

I bought my first one from ABC sports on Yonge St in Toronto just prior to that having paid the princely sum of $125.00 and then proceeding homeward on the subway with it covered in wrapping paper.

get some double boiled linseed oil from crappy tire and should do nicely.

I just got back from the range with my new Auto Ordinance M1 Carbine. A sweet shooter! I think this one will be my truck gun. The 5 round mag that comes with it worked without problems. The aftermarket 5/30s from Ellwood Epps had chronic feed problems. Other than that it was accurate, nicely balanced and just plain fun. I put a few coats of Tung oil (with drying agents) on the walnut stock. Looks great!
