New Glock 48 owners; how long have you had it? Round count? Any revelations?

An ebay generic, pretty standard coyote brown, AIWB with concealment wing and plastic belt clip.
I rock it at 1 oclock, really easy to grab, and keeps the butt nice and tight against my stomach.
My draw times to connect to an IPSC from concealment at 12yds are pushing 1.5 seconds.
I think I can still shave some time off this with a few hours more dry fire draws with the PAR set a bit shorter.

Cool - thanks. Just got a deal on a Raven Morrigan off of a guy on pistol-forum, I'll try it out and see how it works...

PS - hey what are splits you guys are mentioning ? 12 yards /concealment / 1.5 sec etc etc . Double taps ? Thanks

Split times are times between shots fired. This can only be tested if you have a shot timer. Most good shooters can split around 0.3s or faster. The pros can split under 0.2s.

12 yd from concealment in 1.5s means drawing the gun from a Concealment style holster under clothing and hitting the target at 12yds in 1.5s. Again, a shot timer is needed to accurately log this. AIWB means Appendix Inside WaistBand holster.

Double tap means shooting the gun twice as fast as you can, hopefully with a good sight picture and on target!

These terms are mostly heard in IPSC and IDPA competitions.

I just got mine. I finally feel what a properly sized plastic gun is like for myself.

My hands are too small for the regular glock but I can rock P10C pretty well. The G48 felt a bit better in the trigger handsdue to the slimmer grip profile, but the P10C's trigger is miles ahead in everything, from trigger travel, reset to trigger reach.

Can they make a slimline single stack P10C? LOL

Had mine for 2 weeks and sold it. Too small for my hands. Plus I have about 30 mags for a regular Glock :)

What is that device on the end of your Glock 19 may I ask?

Does anyone know where we can get spare magazines for the 48?

I don't want to favour a particular CGN business member, but if you go to the front page and click the side banners of a couple of shops, you will find them instock in at least two of them.

Yes, there a few with magazines, but not many places have holsters, and I haven't found any mag holders in Canada, yet.

I’m glad to hear a few are making their way into the wild. The poster that said he was going to sell his; that’s the first time I’ve heard anyone talking about selling one. You’ve got to do what feels right; if you’ve got big hands, I certainly get it, it’s a pretty small grip on them.
I have medium/small hands, and it is the best feeling semi auto I think I’ve ever handled/shot. I find the grip texture pretty decent; it’s very similar to my 19X, but a bit more secure because I get a better purchase on it. I’m going to have it stippled eventually, but more for appearance than anything; as long as it is as grippy as it is currently, I’ll be happy.
Also seriously considering having the slide milled for an RMR. There are a couple of companies making slim line mounting plates for them so nothing will be hanging off the slide, so once I find someone who will ship to Canada (If not, I’ll have it drop shipped to a friend in the States ), I’ll order one, so it can be fitted correctly. I ordered a Raven Vanguard Minimalist IWB holster & Glock claw for it; amazingly comfortable for IWB. Great retention for a trigger guard style holster, and it can be re-holstered without removing it from your belt. I’m normally not an IWB fan; middle age spread & pistol grips are not all that friendly with one another. Ultimately, I’m a leather holster guy, and I’m on the hunt for someone in Canada that makes something for them. I have found a couple of places who will old something for me, but I’m reluctant to send it away to someone I don’t know, and there are no blue gun moulds for it that I can find. I may wind up ordering from the States, but only as a last resort. Between the exchange and shipping costs, it’s pretty easy to drop $200+ on a holster, which I’m not keen on doing unless it’s a damn special holster...

First time at range today with mine. Put 50 rds thru it.....seems to shoot really nice. Definitely favours someone with a smaller grip/hands......Only issue was twice (2/5), I had the mag pop loose after the first round.....but that maybe more of an operator/mag issue then the Glock itself.

I've had the same issue with mine. you're hitting the mag release with your thumb. I shaved corned of mine just like Vickers mag release and it was fine after that

If looking for mag pouches(Trebor) just beware that the single stack G48 is not a true single stack like 1911s. In fact while not as wide as traditional Glock double stack you will find that the G48 'single stack' mag fits in normal non Glock double stack mag pouches.

So far so good.

About 550 down the pipe now. Really liking the bold front sight I have to upgrade my 1911 to a trijicon similiar style

Never owned a glock , only fired one once b4 x50. Rdsc gave me a better way to hold the thing and I've implemented that , shooting it much better than first time.

Never had any pistol training. Always just winged it , really working on my grip now in general for all 3 of my pistols

This thread is making me want one of these, I've been toying with the thought of getting a 9mm anyways and this one is pretty appealing. Aesthetically the two-tone look is not the greatest in my eyes, but it seems like a nice gun for the price, which appears to be the same everywhere I look($656).
