Well I guess we can't call those Vanguards chunky monkeys anymore...Howa just announced at Shotshow 2022 a 4.7lb short action with detachable mag 20" barrels chambered in 6.5CM and .308WIN.
Yes you read that right, a short action NOT the mini.
I predict 2022 to be another expensive year for me.

Wow sounds awesome really. Whats the cost though?

That is a LIGHT rifle!
It says MSRP $1399 in that article so likely be really pricey by the time they make it across the boarder up here.

Says it's a reduced short action, between mini and regular short action.

Two inch longer barrel than my Adirondack, and six ounces lighter.... I am eagerly awaiting the reviews. I wonder if they'll offer it in stainless?

Damn, this is not good, I have a few Vanguards but my minor complaint has always been the weight. I don't own either cartridge.

That is beyond light. I wonder how the stock is constructed? Howa has always built a top notch action, but their base/entry stocks not so much. The barrel profile must put pencils to shame. :)

Oh boy! Another ultralite rifle. And considering its Howa, they probably won't make 'em in lefty... Us lefty shooters really need some love from the ultralite world...
