Hey J_Corr,
I have been struggling for roughly 2 years to create an accurate batch of bullets for my Benelli MR1 in the 223 caliber with a 1-9 twist rate. I use this rifle as a coyote gun. What have you had luck with so far.
Here is what I have tried so far:
Powders: Varget, Benchmark, superperformance
Primers: CCI , Winchester
Brass: Remington, Winchester
Bullets: 53 grain V-Max, 55 Grain V-Max, 60 Grain V-Max, 55grain Nosler Varmint BT
With all of these different combinations I have not been able to generate any 1MOA groupings at 100yards. Not even close to 1MOA. However, I have heard great hings that people are getting .5MOA with this gun. I tried reaching out to them but no luck.
Thanks
Honestly, the gun is sitting in my cabinet as a virgin. I am still deciding on what scope to put on it as the 2-7x32 isn't cutting it for me. However, I speak with a gent from Wolverine Supplies and I am ordering the Tri Rail front mould, bi-pod and a few other this and that's. Once the gun is built, I will start working on tight groups.
Curious, do you have the 12.5 or 20" Barrel?
