NEW ITEM: Dominion Arms Socom 18

Will be interesting to hear some range reports. They look sweet and if the machining is nice and tight iam all over it.
 
No pounding off spot welded flashiders...No leaning front sights due to incorrect barrel indexing
No flashiders with wonky front bases (I hope)
No problem adding a shim for the a gas assembly if required ...
2 x 20/5 rd mags , free shipping ....price increase coming

Ok for anyone like me that is voraciously keeping up with this: I called Canam to order .45 today and asked them to weigh
One for me. They did. Those guys (and girls) have incredible customer service.

The answer is 9.0 pounds
 
unlike norinco, which has lots of review and reports.

this da , after all , is something new. we should not take it for granted that this "should" be the same quality as the norinco ones....

is this chrome lined as well ? any sign of quality change except the front end' diffrence ?

why not post some new and bigger pictures? ....

not exactly mister. have you compared the real M1A with Norinco M305 ? that's very different. and the real SOCOM also very different from what we see here which is exactly the same as M305 with a shorter barrel and that flash hider @_@
 
When mines get's here, i will take some pictures for the more inquisitives minds up here... JP.
 
I ordered one for 499, then editted my order to get the combo - more $$ ugghhh! But I did so only after receiving the email notification indicating: "This just in, the highly anticipated new to Canada, Dominion Arms Socom 18 M14 .308 Rifle. We've opened 'er up and she's a beauty. Beautifully machined, tight and sighted just right. Almost every member of our staff have grabbed one for themselves and the general statement "best Chinese M14 to date". No word of lie, these are VERY nice and in limited quantity." I now expect this to be the case.

And big Kudo's to CanAm for not jumping on the pre-marketing, pre-order hype train. That is appreciated!
