NEW ITEM: Dominion Arms Socom 18

does anyone have a trick for removing the flashider without a vice because i don't have one. i tried putting a allen wrench through the holes and turning but it just bent the wrench. I also tried heating it and that didn't work.

I read someone elase had success placing the flashhider in a vice and twisting the whole rifle.

........"without a vice beacause i don't have one." That being said, has anyone tried soaking it in a solvent? Or repeatedly taping it with a brass hammer? I know from experience using an allen key or something are a source of leverage usually is not enough. Try hitting the allen key with a mallet to give an extra bit of punch before the key bends and breaks. Just idea's.

It shown in the white, comes parkerized....Looks pretty much identical to the CanAm version other then the flat sides

lots of them around our cabin and in back of the house.

So far I leave them alone they leave me alone.

Wow, after reading your last three posts all I can do is shake my head lol. I guess all I want to ask is, what makes the 5.56 pure garbage but the 7.62x39 "Ok" ?

And for the future, next time , 'as per your message' if you are going to say "I am a hunter, if I were going to hunt (Insert animal here)" Remember that there is a huge difference between hunting, and just killing. (Not saying there is anything wrong in it, but if a coywolf is getting to close to the chicken coop, and you blast it, you didnt HUNT it, you KILLED it :D)

I think it's great to have a threaded muzzle, because there are so many options for flash hiders and etc, to attach...:confused:

Can anybody comment on _why_ these rifles have such an oddball thread on the muzzle? If CanAmmo had these made up as a special run, why the heck could they not have gone with a standard threading? If there's a reason, I'd love to know it.

I don't think the barrels are thick enough to thread 5/8x24 which is a standard .30cal brake threading. They can be threaded 1/2x28 which is standard .22cal threading, something like the M14.ca brake requires this. I can see a dealer or manufacturer having some liability concerns sending out a .30cal gun with .22 cal threading....gunowners ain't the smartest lot ;)
 
Anybody know where to find a linear compensator like the Levang, Noveske kx3 or Troy claymore that will fit this thread?
