Beretta & Benelli are part of the parent Beretta Group, as is Franchi, Sako, Tikka, Burris and Stoeger.
I have shot the models of both makes that you've metioned, plus several more ( Explor Cordoba, M2, etc.)
At the top end, I found the Extrema2 K/O to be more comfortable shoot than the SBEII with both 3" and 3-1/2" loads. The SBEII did not want to function reliably with 1 oz. target loads ... although some report that they will.
My preference instead would be for the 391 Urika, particularly if you want to shoot it primarily as a target gun, with secondary or more limited use for ducks & geese. I also like the Benelli Cordoba, but don't like the porting - either for a target gun or in the duck blind. Quality 3" steel loads (like Kent Fasteels @ 1560fps) work very well indeed for waterfowl. Never found the more expensive 3-1/2" shells to be more advantageous or required.
