Honestly, I would too. Most legal professions/businesses are pretty easy to learn about. Some you can even study in school. Legal firearms importation is legal of course, so why is it impossible to get any information about it? What would be really cool is if somebody like Johnone did a sticky on how a business imports firearms. I think the arguement against it is that such would be a poor business move.

There are lost of stickies on other sites about how to import automobiles, inspite of the fact that some people run a business doing the same. That information is not a secret.

Legal firearms importation has this whole cloak-and-dagger secrecy about it. It leads people to WILD speculation.

I am not a competitor in firearms importation and never will be. I am just a curious person who likes to know how wine is made, how heart transplants are done and how businesses legally import firearms.

or we can be partners. The Zombies would cringe at that.

oh did you hear there are norinco m14's available

More ammo...X10. I'd be really impressed if someone could bring in major quantities of 7.62x51 at .50 cents a round or less...that would get my attention...wouldn't that be nice? Dare to dream!!

Just came from Milarm, I guess they have the same M14s just in the door for $419.00 plus Tax. They mentioned something about surplus ammo too. Ask for Gord, he seems like a pretty good guy to deal with.

They had black and there were a few camos. They are not up for sale yet, but I was able to put my name on one.

Glo7 and TheManInBlack almost got death threats on here for saying Canadian Tire could sell new synthetic stock M14s for $475. You are a brave man for saying you can buy the same ones for $419. I hope you have your helmet on soldier.

On a serious note. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Cheers.

I doubt they will last long, there looked like about 6 of the big boxes, however many there is per box.

I have no horse in this race but I'm TOTALLY looking forward to seeing the scans of receipts once people start buying these. I guess time will tell....

Im going to go see if they will take $390.00 per gun if I buy whole works, I can add $80.00 per gun and sell them like hot cakes.

Now wouldn't that be interesting if you got your new synthetic stock M14 for $419 BEFORE August 10th? It would kind of make the last 200 or so posts irrelevent.

I am not saying it will happen, but if it did. Interesting.

TREVOR W;
Marstar has always done it's own work....
In the surplus market we deal directly with the governmment of the day, never agents, importers or whatever....
In China will deal way above the "marketing level"
All the rest is taken care of by our forwarders....

This Jackass started by complaining that the price was to high, a few days later he is ready to become the new Norinco Importer for Canada, by tommorrow he will be bigger then Donald Trump!

I just came up with the idea that I will become the next box store for guns. I read thru a Wholesale Sports bood and decided that all i have to do is sell cheeper and Im set. Anyone can buy from any of the big brand names. Well im off to the bank with my Wholesale sports and my notes on scrap paper (its such a dumb idea I would not dare use my own money). I am so smart to have come up with this idea, why couldnt anyone else think of this first?

"Legal firearms importation has this whole cloak-and-dagger secrecy about it. It leads people to WILD speculation."
Its not so much that BUT there is a lot of "behind the scenes" work that goes on....
Never think that things just happen, you walk into Minister x's office and ask what he has for sale ?? No not likely.
It takes heavy investments in time,energy, travel, and oh yes $$$$
Cloak-and-dagger, yes a bit of that too, many of the government officials involved don't really want their name on CNN, they like it the way it is, quiet, investing towards their retirement ($$) etc,etc....
For over 16 years I spent half my time gone from home....
I have been to several war zones, so called East Block countries (before the downfall of the USSR) many latin countries etc, etc, all ver educational

In all honesty then John, you should write a book. I would gladly buy a copy for myself and a copy for my brother. You can change the names of those involved. I'm not being mean or a smart-arse when I say this. I would buy a book about a Canadian's 20 years in the arms trade. You could collect publishing royalties on it when you are long retired.

VADER Z;
Strange that you say that, I have been approached several times, I am considering it....
I have been very fortunate in the past 25 + years, been to a lot of nice places, some not so nice....
Met many historical figures, in a few cases lucky enough to live some historical moments.
The arms trade has been very good to us.
STill being involved on a daily basis in my company's operation is the most rewarding of all, we get to talk with some of the nicest people on the planet, gunowners....

ON THE OTHER HAND I MUST APOLOGIZE to the participants on this board for even responding to GLO7, my experience should have tipped me off that he is simply another "wannabee gun dealer", I was simply trying to respond in a constructive way.
