VADER Z;
Strange that you say that, I have been approached several times, I am considering it....
I have been very fortunate in the past 25 + years, been to a lot of nice places, some not so nice....
Met many historical figures, in a few cases lucky enough to live some historical moments.
The arms trade has been very good to us.
STill being involved on a daily basis in my company's operation is the most rewarding of all, we get to talk with some of the nicest people on the planet, gunowners....
John

Well, get it started. The transpacific flight to Norinco is about 14 hours. You could do your writing then. That is, if the Cathay Pacific ladies aren't too distracting. Somehow YVR to HKG isn't so bad when I fly with them. :D

ON THE OTHER HAND I MUST APOLOGIZE to the participants on this board for even responding to GLO7, my experience should have tipped me off that he is simply another "wannabee gun dealer", I was simply trying to respond in a constructive way.John

Indeed. You know John, there are dealers who might say the same about you (small Canadian arms dealer). Everyone starts somewhere so I am not sure why hurling insults over here helps this conversation. I am editing this post to add you shouldn't underestimate people or their resources. Rather foolish. Do you get a lot of wannabes like me in your store? Do you have derisive comments for them too? Just wondering.

No you aren't hurling insults.. Just stirring the pot... telling people what to do and not to do.. And the MIB was talking about sheep... Hmmm

I had to add my 2 cents to this thread. Now I have only read 3 pages but I am MAD! I have dealt with Frontier Arms. And they are GOOD people trying to make a living. They offer EXCELLENT service. I have bought a Dominion Grizzly from them and alot of surplus stuff.

Frankly, I am glad as hell that Frontier is in the business, and is making money. You have to run a business and make a profit. Some things might be a little pricier than other places, and somethings cheaper that they sell. This is the rule of the marketplace. I care about customer service, and how I am treated. Frontier has treated me good, so I shop there.

Frontier is a GREAT company. And I am no spokesman, I live in the heart of Moronto. Two thumbs up for Frontier.

BTW, Frontier, are you guys going to be getting more surplus stuff. I need a very good gas mask like the M-95. Let me know!

LOL its people like you who make people like us pay more than things are worth. I love when people come speak up saying "I dont mind being ripped off as long as someone does it nice to me"

what you dont see it they thought they had a corner market so jacked up the price, then people complained and the price dropped now all the sudden more come out and lots of other places are going to have them alot cheaper and they are exposed. If you read the thread like you said you did you would have read the part where frontier said the market was so they could make money on them cause the prices were now different. Now we see that the wholesale price hadn't changed and they were jsut trying to get some bucks under their belt at the expense of people starving for these rifles

What concern of yours is it where and how people spend there money? When were you made king?
As I asked before Where do you get off deciding somethings value?

It's people that do this that make the retail side of business suck. You try to do something for people and some bozo, internet hero, mall ninja has to come along and ruin it.. The heck with how much profit is in it... If it's too expensive people won't buy it..

You really want to police people's spending.. Run for f**king office and head off to ottawa they could probably use a little help..

You think Frontier is gonna corner the market with 35 rifles.... Yeah right..
Heck with it.. I got better things to do....

It's called Capitalism, and Free Enterprise. Read up on it. The market will decide if Frontier is asking too much, not you. And so what if Frontier makes money. GOOD! I hope he makes a ton of it. We need gun dealers like Frontier, Marstar and Wolverine. We need people to take a chance and bring in black rifles and neat stuff that we can't get at Canadian Tire or LeBarons.

Listen to yourself "expense of people starving for these rifles". Are these rifles "food or gasoline"? The M-14 is NOT a must have item like bread or meat. They are NOT sticking it to the customer. If you want to buy an M-14 cheaper, go find it. If Frontier's prices are too high, then no one will buy the M-14, and he will be forced to lower his price. The market decides the prices. And who the hell are you too so say "because of people like me, we have too pay more for guns". I bought a Dominion Grizzly from Frontier, and I got an OK price for it. So stick in your hat.

Marstar is neither "small" nor is it a "store". It is a big secure warehouse that is closed to the public.

The only people allowed in there are firearms dealers (licensed by the CFC) looking to buy wholesale, and their visits are by appointment only. Marstar is one of the few companies in Canada that still stock and sell fully automatic weapons so I find it reassuring that they run such a tight operation.

This is all clearly explained on their website.

Hang on to 'em for 6 months- you'll make your profit on them ;)

like getting a brain. Your comments show your lack of intelligence. Someone points out the fires hot and you stick your hand in anyway.

ANd just to comment on what makes me able to decide a value. PAST PRICING you mutton head. If I could buy a loaf of bread for 1 buck 6 months ago, I'm not going to pay 4 bucks now.

The funniest thing about this thread is that if it was about a gas station charging more for gas you'd all be against the gas station but for some reason a gun shop is taboo

You are if the price of fuel has gone up and yields are low. Its called inflation and with Obama printing money like its toilet paper anyone who purchases in U.S dollars will be get less now then they could 6 months ago. One thing you may want to consider is that the rifles you were buying 6 months ago may have been part of a lot whose price was negotiated years ago. Past pricing means nothing, if i called the electricity company to complain that my equal billing amount has gone up $30 a month each yearly cycle they would laugh at me and call me a moron who needs to take a basic economics course.......................

its probably best if you dont talk anymore, every time you post everyone in the thread drops an iq point.

A gas station sells an essential product and should be regulated, unless the govt is going to totally deregulate the industry, cut off grants and tax breaks and let all forms of energy delivery compete on an equal playing field.

The cost of guns has nothing to do with the cost of gas. They are in no way similar to each other.

The f**k with Days of our lives... this is much better !

:slap:

Glo, if you can get your hands on the rifles... good for you.....

John, I'd buy a signed copy of your book. Having met you personally a couple times has been a privilege. You always have very interesting stories and you are pationnate about what you do.....

Cheers

Simon

Aw man, this thread is brilliant! I haven't been this entertained in a long time. It went from announcement, pricing accusations, how to run a business, capitalism and book writing. Keep going! This is so very delicious :p

Well let me know when you can get a 57 chevy for 850 bucks...

I won't get drawn into an insult match or try to compare brain pans...

However Mods you might want to note the personal attack...

Maybe you should look at something called supply and demand... There is no supply and there is demand.. and the rifles that John got were "old stock".... These are apparently new rifles... So again apples and oranges..

And I still don't understand what it is to you where people spend there money...
