Not to fan any flames of discontent, but I disagree that the "look" of the gun is responsible for the general public's opinion of it.
I think that instead, it is the
context in which the firearm is shown.
So many movies, SO many movies are made which represent various types of firearms, and I beleive that it is these films which bring the mystique of the firearm type.
for example, AK-47...associated with the "bad" guys..prohib...
Ar-15....associated with police.....restric.
and of course,.....who ever looks at a plough handled single action without hearing whistle music and thinking of sagebrush?
Oh well, as for me, I like the top shotgun in the picture.
I'm not fond of the bullpup look....But the thought of being able to load up magazines at home, for a shotgun, seems nice.
