New or old, what's in your safe?

I have a couple of pre 64 model 70s from 1949 & 1950.I bought them from the guy that bought them new.He is 84 now and still shoots his pre 64 375 Weatherby I would like to have that one.He sent all 3 rifles to the Weatherby factory and had them rechambered back in the 50s.They were a 270 Win a Supergrade 300 H&H and 375 H&H.I wonder what they would be worth today if he kept them original.

oldest gun is pretty new to me, but an early 80s 700 BDL in 8mm Rem Mag. Newest off the line, probably a Sako 85 LSS in 338 Federal

My oldest one was manufactured in 1895, and my newest ones are on order right now. Although I've got a number of fairly new/right off the shelf rifles, most of what I have are made in the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

Oldest is an original Winchester 1886 saddle ring carbine in .45-70 Govt mfg in 1892. Passed down to me from an uncle.

Newest is probably my 'new to me' Marlin 1895 in .45-70 Govt. Probably a couple years old.

Lots of others in various ctgs in the years between, too, though.... ;)

A mix-pretty much what most of us will have I think.
1958 CZ ZKM468 single shot training 22lr (wifes gun)
1932 Winchester mod 1906 takedown pump (my fave fun gun)
1964 Savage 99c 308 lever
60s Remington 870 Wingmaster waiting for me to put new wood on
3yr old Ruger 77mkII leftie stainless 30-06
New CZ452 American left hand 22lr
New CZ527 223 left hand minimauser
1964 Marlin Glenfield 30-30
New Boito 410 over/under

I've got one from the 30's, two from the 70's, three from the 80's, the rest are 95 or newer. I got rid of most of my older ones, but they weren't collectors anyway...

My oldest is a 1919 Webley MkVI revolver. I have a couple of post-war production Lee Enfield No.4s. My newest guns, which I bought brand-new include a NEF Handi-Rifle (a single shot break action isn't anyone's idea of hi-tech or new technology) and a Remington 870 - a design that is older than I am, and a Marlin 795. Some new technology is interesting to me and I might be tempted to try something innovative, but I usually stick with the tried-and-true classics.

i've got 2 LeeEnfields, 2 Cooey Model 39, 1 Remington 700 SPS DM bought new, a Ruger 10/22 bought new, and a Mossberg Maverick bought new. it's almost 50:50. guess i need a new gun. :D

I am very happy with my collection. Not $10,000 presentation grade blah, blah. But a couple of nice late 70's shotguns, a collector .30-30, a selection of firemarms that were my dad's, or uncles. I have a nice selection of newer hunting rifles to handle anything in North America. I have a favorite old spanish, no name, double .20 guage (dad bought for mom to hunt ptarmigan) that drops grouse from the sky like nobody's business. I just bought a shorty 12 for bear protection that is a blast! to shoot. I have only one surplus rifle in .303. I have one only 'target' rifle and it is not 'tacticool', just a regular varminter. I do have an interesting build on the go. I really enjoy my firearms.

I have a pre '64 model 94 .30-30 and all the way up to a new Rem 700 VSF .308, and a couple Kimbers that came NIB, and some older mausers. i've got a couple coopers on order new in box, this fall or early '09. Pretty well got the last 50 years covered!

Mostly old, oldest would be my 1899 sav made in 1917.Newest would be my Ruger MK 11 stainless I don't know what year that rifle is.Anyone know how to put a date on the Mark 11's ?

Oldest is a pre1875 69/71 Vetterli
Newest 1974 DOM Belgium T-bolt

All the rest are from 1908 to 1950, most pre war though.

Nothing extra special but lots of obscure pieces.

What do you have more of in your collection, new hi-tech rifles and shotguns right off the shelf? Or old guns with a story? What do you have in there?
