I reckon about $1000, give or take, to your door after importing fees and the cost of the gun. Sure a nice alternative to the new MP40's for those seeking a WW2 subgun, at a more reasonable price. Of course, the RCMP may reject it...

I'm not too sure the US would export these.
I handled an origional PPSH41 which was turned in during an amnesty in Bosnia. The workmanship on the gun was not impressive.

Since they were making these new why couldn't they have chambered them in 9mm? Why some obscure hard to source calibre...
In the US there have been a couple of versions of the PPS43 advertised. The one with the original length barrel has the stock welded in the folded position so that the gun can be classified as a pistol. There is also a longer barrelled version (over 16") on which the stock can fold. I expect that the welding at the rear of the barrel jacket is there because the jacket is original while the rest of the receiver is new. That's where the splice is.
The PPSh version posted by Hitzy has the long barrel so that it qualifies as a rifle. With an original length barrel, the gun would be classed as a Short Barrelled Rifle, and in the US a SBR is subject to federal controls.
Have handled a number of PPShs. It is interesting to compare a PPSh with a Sten. Both were manufactured under emergency conditions - more so for the PPSh. The PPSh gives the impression of being a more sophisticated and substantial firearm. Certainly more manufacturing effort involved. PPS is unrelated to the PPSh of course. Its history is very interesting, the '42 version being designed and manufactured in Leningrad during the siege. It is an example of a gun made with the absolute maximum use of metal pressings. Only ever handled one, apparently they shoot very well. Very compact compared to a PPSh.

They use a lot of original parts and original magazines. Probably easier to stay with the original calibre, than to change calibres. There were 9mm adaptations of both guns, of course. The Germans rebarrelled some PPShs to 9mm, using mp38u40 magazines with a boxlike adapter. There can be an issue with 9mm PPSHs - the 7.62x25mm cartridge, being bottlenecked, feeds very easily, the 9mm less so. If the round hangs up on feeding, it can fire prematurely. The ejection port is on top, so when the case ruptures, the fragments can hit the shooter in the face or head. This has happened when US shooters have converted PPShs to 9mm using Sten magazines. The 9mm conversion involves no permanent alterations to the gun, so the rather substantial collector value of a PPSh in the US is not affected.
7.62x25 to 9x19 conversion with these guns is a lot more practical that the 7.92x33 to 7.62x39 conversion suggested for the SSD STGs. Basically a barrel and mag. change for the pistol calibres, versus a redesign of the receiver for the STGs.
and that is why they are prohib here you CANNOT use any pieces of the orig reciever or the rcmp rules its a converted auto-prohib
you need a completly new reciever designed for semiautomatic the FA orig parts cannot readily fit

What is this? A circle jerk? One person says it looks better, I say it doesn't, next person says looks don't matter.
If a gun looks like #### on the outside its worse on the inside. This isn't European made, in the US it doesn't matter if it fires more then 4rds per mag before falling apart they still sell it to you, your just lucky you live in Canada where our dealers don't touch what doesn't work cause they can't make money unloading garbage..
