new "precision" rifle from china

So what you're saying is that it's all shooter and has little to do with the equipment? I think that just kills your point about brand names rifles... :D

well to a point I guess it does......but Norinco is still norinco;) and if Hungry beats us with one....well all the power to him.....:dancingbanana: I think he is shooting a Winchester and AR now,oh and I would guess his M305's were not all Norinco may a piece or two of of rinco..

in my old Savage days I beat alot of Custom rifles..I was just better at reading the wind,

I would still stick to one of our big big four

Given all the excellent products I have seen recently from Norinco, I am curious about this 'tactical' rifle. If it arrives with typical Norinco pricing, well worth a try.

Hopefully, it will come with a cartridge other then the 7.62R and a pipe better then the brush rifles.

Get someone to bring in some relatively "cheap" .50 cals. and bulk Chinese BMG ammo instead. Why someone hasn't looked into this is well beyond me.

With as much interest as .50's get on this board alone would be more than worth the effort. If Marstar hasn't looked into adding this rifle to their regular lot of imports, they should.

Tell that to Hungry.. then look at how well he has shot his M305's and BEATEN "Brand Name" rilfe shooters!!!

Regards,
Haha ok, but if you add $2000 worth of accessories to an M305 I imagine it'd shoot pretty well (and by that time it's hardly Chinese). And from what I hear, Hungry is a hell of a shot.

They are out of production, want a min of 5,000 orders , so that won't happen this year.
I have a Russian Olympic rifle in that cal. 14lbs shoots very straight. George

this rd. was made in 1891 so there are differences with the .308. George

Grab ahold of a loading manual. Ballistically they are very close. Unfortunatly, the 7.62R isn't likely to have a .308" groove size, so bullet sllection might be a bit limited.

The NDM-86 is an SVD Dragunov in 308, none can come in as they are prohibited 12(5)...

Yep, I asked John at Marstar about it and he pointed me to the Dragunov listing in the prohibited weapons in the fanatastically abrupt manner of his. Damn! :(

What about the 7.62x51mm version... EM352? I guess it is still considered an AK47 variant.
