Did anyone actually use them for silhouette or hunting?
Friend of mine with expensive taste had one back in the 80's. We never hunted with it, but I shot it at the silhouette range a few times. Soaked up recoil better than my S&W 29 did, but making ammo was a pain. - dan
Starline makes brass these days so no more cutting down .308/.30-06. If it's legally possible in the future I plan on buying a new Automag.

Why was making ammo a pain?
If you couldn't find the relatively rare and expensive factory ammunition you had to cut down .308/.30-06 and ream out the inside to make AMP brass.
Charles Bronson used this in death wish 3 (I think)
