Well, I made the classic mistake of taking my time and browsing the gun shop when all I went in for was to get some ammo.
I saw this Martini hidden away on a rack and after taking a look at it for a couple of minutes, I knew I wasn't leaving the store without it. Thankfully, it was reasonably cheap, especially considering it came from a store, on consignment.
It is a bit rough right now, needs the stock refinished and it could use a nice reblue. The bluing is probably 90%+ right now, but I would really like this rifle to look great.
Reasonably nice wood on the buttstock. The stock looks worse in the pictures.
It is a Model 15, with integral peep sights, and if you look at the picture of the peep sight, you can see there is a hole under the sight which is for cleaning the gun from the breech end.!!!
Nice crisp trigger and a 29 inch heavy barrel. Makes it really steady holding it offhand. Many of these rifles were guaranteed to shoot 1 1/2" groups, at 100 yards, and most did much better.

This is what I am considering doing with the stock. Only the forestock would be longer. The butt can be modified as is but I would buy a new forestock rough shaped to a schnabel style.
