New Release - Marlin 1895 Trapper in 45-70

Got mine last year at Prophet River, best price in Canada..get your name in now and order, they kindly do not require a deposit...took me 6 months but well worth the wait.

The quality of the new Ruger/Marlin 1895 models in 45-70 are second to none in my opinion.

The fit & finish of the wood and metal is amazing. I have owned several JM models in the past, these new Ruger/Marlin firearms far surpass the JM guns I had.

Eventually, more of these new Marlins will become available in Canada. I hope everyone gets a chance to shoot or own one of these great rifles.......:)

Why are these so hard to find in Canada?

Very heavy demand in Canada on Levers right now. If you actually see one in stock you don't think for even 5 seconds whether to buy or not. If you hate it (which you wont) you can easily get +400 on the GBL's and +1000 on the SBL's

I’ve had a Trapper and some accessories on order for months with a well known seller and just so happened to call them yesterday to get something added to my order. Apparently they had four come in Friday and all of which were spoken for. The sales guy told me that they couldn’t seem to get in contact with one of the customers and said that if they didn’t get a call back in due time I would get the gun as there was no deposit on the firearm and I was next on the wait list. In any case, the customer did call back and claim the gun and I’m back in the waiting game. Pretty decent news though considering! Four guns is the most I’ve heard trickle into one place in some time so hopefully we’ll be seeing more soon!

Out of curiosity, would you mind sharing how much the store was asking for these Trapper 45-70 models?.......:)

The trappers are nice but I just seen the new 336 videos on youtube from shotshow, Ruger seems to be doing an outstanding job bringing Marlin back to life,...their is even mention of stainless, trapper and octagon barreled versions...excellent news. I hate waiting.

The price point was too good. I posted a picture of the SBL I managed to get my hands on. The last batch retailed for 1999+ tax. I had someone offer $3600 for rifle and buy it straight up.. At that rate, its hard to say no!

I am waiting as well for some of the new up and coming models. I think the wait will be a few years before we see the stainless trapper 1894 models here in Canada.

They are not being made at this time. I too wait with keen anticipation........:)

Some of the SBL models are advertised on gun-post for $4000.00.

Absolutely unreal asking prices. Demand for these guns are through the roof.

These prices are hitting the Big Horn Armory retail.

Four grand to shoot some 45/70 rounds lmao,it makes a guy wonder sometimes if the sky is ty limit.Ive always been taught not to overspend and be as sensible as I can with my money,I've been offered crazy amounts of money for certain rifles myself, prices I would never in a million years pay even if I had millions.

This is one reason things are so costly today,as soon as one person spends rediclous
Money onsomething it sets anew standard on prices lol.

The Jurassic park movie product placement with Crispy Rat made these a weird must have for a lot of people who wouldn’t care otherwise.

Dude, the liberals are teaching the millennials that money is no object.

Check out trudy's spending habits, it will all make sense then..........:(

Anyone know what the MSRP is going to be up here for the SBL?
I got tired of waiting and picked up an SBL in Dec for $1700 US from Gunbroker but was sent the Trapper by mistake, and now I see the SBL's are going for north of $2000US, so it makes me think another increase is coming.

Depending on the individual dealer:

1895 SBL - $1900.00-$2100.00
1895 Trapper - $1900.00-$2100.00
1895 Guide Gun (GBL) - $1700-$1850.00

It would appear if you are in an area where demand is high, the price seems to also be high.

Smaller cities seem to have better pricing.

In saying that, demand far outweighs production. If this trend continues as we hit spring bear season, expect the prices to increase again.

Yeah it’s pretty crazy! IRunGuns has them available via their U.S. site for $1699 which is fairly expensive. I figured, at least for me anyway, that is just too steep a price considering I’ll be waiting regardless and I’ll be paying less even at a $1900 price tag in CAD for one of these. Siwash Sports got two more guns in this week which I also missed due to the good ol’ junk email folder. Their price on the Trappers are among some of the best prices I’ve seen too. Soon enough gents, soon enough!

It's getting silly. I've had a Marlin Trapper on order since last summer.

Korth need to get enough rifles to dealers to at least get the backorders with paid deep deposits at dealers cleared out.
