New Release - Marlin 1895 Trapper in 45-70

2k. + tax shipping and insurance.

Might as well buy yourself a Bighorn and call it a day

A Bighorn firearm is a beautiful rifle, no doubt.

But, at $4000.00 you can buy two Ruger/Marlin rifles.

Bighorn are way too expensive in my opinion. I would buy one if they were not so pricey.

Cost these days and value are relative to quality, but $4000.00 is ridiculous, sorry.......:(

I’m also willing to bet that the MSRP on these didn’t go from 1599-1949 in 3 months.
Retailers just joining in on the feeding frenzy.

This.. seen a Trapper at $1699 months ago, local retailer sold a friend one for $1949 a couple weeks back.

Thanks. There's a lot to be said for just getting it done...

FWIW, I had a Trapper on order and just received it. But I was able to get myself an SBL earlier this year and have no need for both. I have the Trapper posted on EE for exactly what I paiod for it if you are interested

From my research:

Retail on the 1895 SBL in 45-70 is now $1995.00.
Retail on the 1895 Trapper is $1900.00.
Retail on the 1895 Guide Gun (GBL) is $1850.00.

My prediction is:

Retail on the 336 Classic in 30-30 will be $1625.00
Retail on the 1894 Classic in 44 magnum will be $1625.00.

Keeping in mind, we won't see the above two models until next year. And when they do show up, the scalpers will no doubt have them up on the EE and Gun-post for $2000.00.....:(

Has anyone seen the GBL in stock since they were released? Seeing all these shiny ones makes a guy want the OG.

As thunder says, April sounds right.. got mine at the end of April..
The bluing is NICE and the wood grain is dark. Classic look accomplished.

It’s the first one I’ve seen in Canada.

Fit and finish is spectacular, a beautiful rendition brought back to life by Ruger/Marlin.

Thanks Korth Group for getting these into Canada before 2024.

I never thought I would see one until next year.

Someone is looking for this gem.
